What's new

AMCA to be developed in 12-15 years .

It is very interesting that some people believes,
1) Nuclear technology of their country who cant even build an indigenous nuclear power plant is better than India's who even have the capability to design an advanced fastbreedor reactor.

2)Missiles of their country who cant even make an SLV is better than India, who is able to to launch a satellite precisely into lunar orbit.

@DESERT FIGHTER please stop your troll:D

avionics, rwrs? lol all frm israel n eu...

Educate yourself

The Su-30MKI contains not only Russian, French, South African and Israeli Customer Furnished Equipment (CFE), but also a substantial percentage of Indian designed and manufactured avionics. They took six years to develop from start to MKI. Advanced avionics were developed by DRDO under a project code named "Vetrivale" (a Tamil name for the victorious lance carried by the youthful Lord Karthikeya or Murugan, a son of Parvati and Shiva) in close collaboration with the PSUs and the IAF. Indian avionics have been received and acknowledged enthusiastically by the Russian principals.

The following are the components developed by Indian agencies:

Mission Computer cum Display Processor - MC-486 and DP-30MK (Defence Avionics Research Establishment - DARE)
Radar Computer - RC1 and RC2 (DARE)
Tarang Mk2 Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) + High Accuracy Direction Finding Module (HADF) (DARE)
IFF-1410A - Identification Friend or Foe (IFF)
Integrated Communication suite INCOM 1210A (HAL)
Radar Altimeter - RAM-1701 (HAL)
Programmable Signal Processor (PSP) - (LRDE)
Multi Function Displays (MFD) - Samtel/DARE

The 32-bit Mission Computer performs mission-oriented computations, flight management, reconfiguration-cum-redundancy management and in-flight systems self-tests. In compliance with MIL-STD-1521 and 2167A standards, Ada language has been adopted for the mission computer's software. The other DARE-developed product, the Tarang Mk2 (Tranquil) radar warning receiver, is manufactured by state-owned BEL at its Bangalore facility.

These avionics equipment have also been certified for their airworthiness in meeting the demanding standards of Russian military aviation. The cumulative value of such indigenous avionic equipment is estimated to exceed Rs. 250 lakhs per aircraft. Since the core avionics were developed by a single agency (DRDO) - they have significant commonality of hardware and software amongst them using a modular approach to design. This obviously results in major cost and time savings in development; it also benefits the user in maintenance and spares inventories.

The DRDO has gone a step further and come out with a new design of the Core Avionics Computer (CAC) which can be used.

tough guy use those words for ur family... not somebody on the internet..

Do you have,as I asked you,any links about Russian involvement? We have enough expertise to build ABM and Space Launchers

What he said is absolutely true

1.Pakistan cannot launch a 50 kg satellite to space and they think that their missiles are better than India, who can inject a probe to lunar orbit

2.) Nuclear technology of their country who cant even build an indigenous nuclear power plant is better than India, considered as world leader in thorium reactors, who even have the capability to design an advanced fastbreedor reactors.

3)Avionics Industry of their country(which cannot build satellites on its own) is much better than India(who builds sats for european customers)

LOL a target drone... what a development...

That was developed and inducted back in 1999,atleast read before commenting. We are currently working on UAVs like Rustom and AURA stealth UAV

Unless they get the funding...

Simply not an excuse. Why is the private R&D lagging then??

Yes the first country in south asia to ever launch rockets into space...

What happened after that? You launched a US built sounding rocket and even today SUPARCO is only capable of doing that,While ISRO is developing 10 tonne to LEO launchers,Reusable Launch Vehicles,Scramjet engines, launching Moon and Mars missions..

Oh... A BLOG! thanks man.
..

lol pushing wikipedia crap again?

from DRDO itself

Multi-mode radar (MMR), the primary mission sensor of the LCA in its air defence role, will be a key determinant of the operational effectiveness of the fighter. This is an X-band, pulse Doppler radar with air-to-air, air-to-ground and air-to-sea modes. Its track-while-scan capability caters to radar functions under multiple target environment. The antenna is a light weight (<5 kg), low profile slotted waveguide array with a multilayer feed network for broad band operation. The salient technical features are: two plane monopulse signals, low side lobe levels and integrated IFF, and GUARD and BITE channels. The heart of MMR is the signal processor, which is built around VLSI-ASICs and i960 processors to meet the functional needs of MMR in different modes of its operation. Its role is to process the radar receiver output, detect and locate targets, create ground map, and provide contour map when selected. Post-detection processor resolves range and Doppler ambiguities and forms plots for subsequent data processor. The special feature of signal processor is its real-time configurability to adapt to requirements depending on selected mode of operation.

Multi-mode radar, a 3D radar is a HAL project with DRDO's LRDE as a subsystem provider. This project to develop an advanced, lightweight Multimode fire control radar for the LCA Tejas fighter had faced challenges and was delayed. It has now been completed with Elta's (Israel) assistance. The multimode radar has range (for detection of a small fighter target) greater than 100 km, can track 10 targets, can engage 2 targets and uses lightweight system. It has been revealed that an all new combined signal and data processor had been developed, replacing the original separate units. The new unit is much more powerful and makes use of contemporary ADSP processors. The radar's critical hardware has also been developed and validated. The software for the air to air mode has been developed considerably (including search and track while scan in both look up and look down modes) but air to ground modes are still being worked upon. The radar development was shown to be considerably more mature than previously thought. At Aero India 2009, it was revealed that the 3D MMR project has been superseded by the new 3D AESA FCR project led by LRDE. The MMR has been completed with Elta Israel's assistance and now involved Elta EL/M-2032 technology for Air to Ground mapping and targeting. This "hybrid" MMR has been tested, validated and will be supplied for the initial LCA Tejas fighters.

Yes thts why an SLV is under development... a big issue being funds... but the russian help with indias slv project is well documented...

Yes we dnt.... an example:

Energy profile of Pakistan

http://www.pide.org.pk/psde24/pdf/03.pdf
The PAEC is now currently preparing reports and planning to set up small but more commercial nuclear power plants ingeniously.

PARR-II Reactor

The PARR-II Reactor is an indigenously designed and constructed reactor owned by the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission. The PARR-II Reactor's design is similar to Miniature neutron source reactor (MNSR) and SLOWPOKE reactor. The reactor was indigenously designed by the PAEC as the Atomic Energy Agency's chairman Mr. Munir Ahmad Khan and his team of engineers and scientists also led the construction of the reactor. The PARR-II Reactor had gone critical and began operating on January 21, 1974.[6] The PARR-II Reactor is a type-in-pool reactor with a rated power of 27-30 Kw. Same as the first reactor, the reactor is design to utilize the High Enrich Uranium (HEU) fuel. The HEU fuel utilize the ~90% 235U at a power level of 30 kW.[7] The demineralized light water is used as a coolant moderator and the reactor core is reflected by metallic Be4.

A PARR-II consists of a core reactor, control rod, and nuclear reflectors, and it is enclosed in a water-tight cylindrical Al13 alloy vessel. The nuclear reactor core is an under-moderated aray with 1H to 235U ratio of temperature of 20°C and provides a strong Negative temperature coefficient and thermal volume coefficients of reactivity.[8] The PAEC scientists and engineers also built and constructed the nuclear accelerator on April 9, 1989. The particle accelerator is heavily used to conduct research in nuclear technology.

Also i wonder why india is goin to US for nuclear plants etc...if india is a world leader an all...

3)Avionics Industry of their country(which cannot build satellites on its own) is much better than India(who builds sats for european customers)

Please dont show ur ignorance... we do build sats...

Again... a country tht claims to build sats etc can make a 4th gen fighter in decades even with american, european, israeli and russian help? and cant even produce ammo? and is the world largest arms importer?

I said, you cannot built proper satellites.Paksat 1R is built by china

The Paksat-1R satellite is based on the DFH-4 platform, with a launch mass around 5,200 kg. The satellite will be positioned at 38.0 degrees East, replacing the Paksat-1 (23779 1996-006A), which was launched as Palapa-C on January 31, 1996, by an Atlas-IIAS (AC-126) from Cape Canaveral’s LC-36B launch complex.

Paksat-1R was manufactured by the China Great Wall Industry Corporation (CGWIC), after being ordered in October 15th, 2008 – with a contract signed with the China Great Wall Industry Corporation (CGWIC). The PakSat-1R contract was the third communications satellite contract signed by China’s space industry with international customers. It is also China’s first satellite in-orbit delivery contract signed with an Asian customer.

It is not a claimhttp://www.defence.pk/forums/indian-defence/74705-hylas-1-completes-testing-india-ready-spaceport.html

The First LCA was out in 1996,for ground testing,it took flight in 2001,IOC 1 was given on 2011 and IOC 2 would be given on 2013 .Do you really think Israel,Russia,France and US helped us?

If so,LCA would have been completed back in 2006,US sanctions delayed the first flight of LCA from1999 to 2001,We couldnt complete our FBW works without use of F 16 VISTA platform,We had to make our own simulator.

Can Pakistan build anything close to LCA?Have Pakistan make a basic trainer of its own yet? What is pakistani contribution to JF 17 :omghaha:

Bhai they have taken responsibility of giving craps. Their discussions, claims without source or proof, reminds me of a insurance selling agent of a startup company; trying to prove their crap policy is the best.

Yes im sure ur blog know more abt it than us.. for more:
ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) would launch a high resolution Remote Sensing Satellite System (RSSS), in 2014, to meet the national and international user requirements in the field of satellite imagery.

Talking to sources, an official said that it will be helpful in exploiting the potentials of space technologies for natural resource surveying and environmental monitoring. RSSS will also be significant in executing application projects of national significance, transfer technology to users in public and private sectors as remote sensing along with its allied technologies which has become an industry in itself.

The official was of the view that RSSS will also be helpful in improving agriculture of the country, water resources, ennvironment and other such issues. Pakistan entered the space age with the formal launching of a second hand Paksat-I in January 200. "Since then our scientists and engineers had been making endeavours to launch indigenous satellite and ensure country's permanent presence in the space" he said.

Pakistan launched communication satellite Paksat-IR in 2011, which has 30 transponders, design life of 15 years and will provide TV broadcasting, internet and data communications services in South and Central Asia, Eastern Europe, East Africa and the Far East.

Under the vision 2040 of Pakistan's Space program, many more satellites will be launched, which will help to improve socio-economic condition of the country - See more at:
