Alleged Indian Mujahideen terrorist deported, arrested from UAE

LoL this say bruce is going to be continually floored. You see, you arab brothers are evidently not against you as they keep on giving money and zakat to pakistan. Actually they are against these terrorist inclinations of pakistan. Clearly they read a different version of qoran, or maybe they have original one.
There is no difference in the Quran.. the money and Zakat dont all go into Pakistani state.. please read up on history before posting again. Perhaps a few articles on seminaries and funding and so on.

There is a lot of hope for change.. but at the same time that hope is not tempered and prone to being misled. After all, I got the same opinion when I spoke to Indians that support Modi.. they are soo desperate for a change that they were willing to say that they are ok with a communally tense India(which they agree is a possibility) as long as there was some form of change. So unless that desire for a change has change agents that are truly sincere to the spirit of the founding father(s) of the nation.. it will only bring further radicalization and chaos.

Sure there are much more astute and aware officers coming up in Pakistan's Army, but they are also very grim about the situation and in the realization that what they are taught about Pakistan's vision and core idea does not translate to the mood of the general populace. It is that malaise, that lack of guided temperament that is going to be destructive to Pakistan.
After all, think about it.. even a suicide bomber is eager and "pure" in his belief in that he is doing the greater good...

Does he?

@Oscar people do not realize that Modi will be very less communal than they think. A) 2002 is 11 years old B) 2002 was reaction C) He knows majority does not support communal politics.

2002 was not normal situation and he might have not made right decisions, but look 11 years after 2002. No riots, he reached out to Muslims, lot of Muslim businessmen flourished in Gujarat.
He uses communal tone in speech to get votes but there is very little to show after riots that me behaved communally. I do not say riots were good, but they happen in charged atmosphere and that cannot be taken as basis of how they will react in daily life.

I fear that we just might oscillate into the Iranian Camp on the other end - Perhaps not in a religious sense but theres enough admiration for Iran here with enough people admiring how the Persians have the, proverbial, nuts of steel ! :undecided:

Arrey yaar, why do you guys always bow down to others and look up to them as your role models? You fellas love to suck up to the Saudis, Chinese, Iranians etc and try and kow-tow to them and treat them as lords and masters of the Muslim world.

Why don't you become role models yourselves?
Those others should be looking up to you instead. Or perhaps that slave mentality is ingrained in one's psyche after being ruled by the Brits for so long. Self respect as a nation and confidence is perhaps what is lacking!

True..That way 1984 anti sikh riots were much worse and more wide spread.. That hasnt stopped Congress from forming a secular govt (twice with a sikh pm) many times since then

Ahhhhhh........... the non-state argument and the infallibility of the perpetual victimhood claim. Does it occur to the pakistanis state and army that if they were not so keen topropagate terroras a means of foreign policy, it would be much more legitimate for them to ask for ttp to renounce violence. Looking the other way + offering funds to LeT haqqanis good taliban or others of the ilk only makes the state lose face when trying to go after the "not so much like a muslim ttp". But funny enough, rants of hafiz saieed are given space and the terrorists pushed across loc dutifully but then the right to lament the increase in extremism and green on green violence, all come naturally to the pakistani state. My advice. Take the bloody responsibility for what the state does and then no one wil make pakistan the laboratory of extremist islam. Neither saudi and nor iran.

Communilsm in india is raised only as a hopeful strawman by pakistanis exactly like dalits and "shoodars". That is the classic punjabi pakistani modus operandi for legitimizing their own current disaster of a society. The truth is that modi is no more communalist than any conservative politician of any democracy worth its name in the world.

What is a "shoodar"?

Shows you the level of tolerance the people have.. basically they are stupid but brave. Whats the english word for it? Foolhardy and stubborn.
We Pakistanis are foolhardy to the hilt..and I mean the hilt along with being stubborn. We are able to take hit after hit, setback after setback without saying that's enough. The problem with that approach is that there is no " Lets fix ourselves" after these hits.
So there definitely has to be a breaking point to this.. and it is that breaking point that will define the nations of Pakistan in who they are. Will they simply sit back and call it quits.. or will that breaking point finally trigger them. Currently, things are bad.. but they arent as bad as say Syria or other places.. people still can after a struggle find an onion and chappati to eat.. and that is enough for us. ONCE that goes too, once the onion , chappati and water disappear on a large scale.. when everyone loses someone since right now generally the elite class is ok and to more extent the urbanites are surviving ok. When they too feel the despair that the people of FATA or KPK feel at times.. or the Baloch feel.. or the Hazaras feel.. Then.. we have the breaking point and acid test.

Right now, how can things be bad when Burger king just said it wants to grant a franchise to Pakistan? As long as the whoppers are frying, Pakistan is on the map well and solid.

He made a general comment, I gave a general answer.
As an outsider, I believe things hitting rock bottom will not automatically give a solution. Pakistan does not gave a strong unifying idea and it might be difficult to put together once it falls apart. What Pakistan needs is a strong determinant leader who can attempt the slow and painful reformation .

Nabbed another vermin.

Welcome to the slaughterhouse, meathead. :butcher:

Now he will 'enjoy' what's coming for him.

Thanks to UAE government; if they could get the D-man also back, it would be amazing help.

.
Now I did not just come up with the Ponzi scheme with @Dillinger @Hyperion and myself for no reason.. now did I?

However, I doubt we will go to the Ayatollahs since the Tableeghi jamaat and Saudis are gaining a faster foothold as compared to the other sects. What will be lost forever will be Data sahab,Pakpattan , Shah Abdul latif.. Kakasahab.. who were the true representations of Pakistan's faith.

@Oscar; The day that happens, Pakistan and Pakistanis will have solved their "identity crisis issues" forever!

by losing their identity forever............
I do not pray for that day to come, Oscar.

I fear the worst - More radicalization in Pakistan, an even greater Sunni-Shia schism & an open ground for the Ayatollah's to continue to export their Revolution - Something that, along with the Saudi penchant for exporting their puritanical understanding of faith, ripped apart the very social fabric of our society ! Because after all we both know that the Iranian Cultural Centers aren't exactly spreading Persian Language & teaching Poetry Classes here in our country especially if they are by the dozens just as we both know that the Saudi funded Madrassas weren't helping out the poor & the needy !

See @Armstrong; You are and have been a "very fertile ground for radicalisation" for quite some time already. That process noticeably began when Bhutto decided to "Socialistically Islamacize" Pakistan; whatever that "plain mumbo-jumbo" meant to him!!
(Though some people say that it all had its genesis in the "Objectives Resolution")
So that painted a big target on the Qadianis to start with. Then the devious (and devilish) Zia came to tinker around with the "Hudood Ordinance" and all the "clap-trap" that went with it. Then came the conscious and concerted effort to create "strategic assets" which only created well-fanged "Dogs of War". Only that these "Dogs of War" later turned rabid and turned on the members of the household that fed them.
All this coupled with your well oscillating experiments only helped to create a "Bonsai Democracy" which fostered simply stunted Instruments of State. So that the Nation could not even revert to some bare minimum default 'Conditions of Statehood and Governance' for any decent amount of time.
A simply lethal mix-a Molotov Cocktail of tremendous proportions.

"Nature abors a Vaccum"-Torricelli.
Now that is true. In this vaccum of a Shell of a Nation/State stepped in all the "Wizards of Woe" that figure in your post that I've quoted.
To create havoc within a completely confused Awaam. Can there be anything worse than that?
You speak about 'Oscillations'!! What you need now is to junk any thoughts or possibilities of any 'Oscillations'; to stand fast as a country and find a single mooring that a country needs to survive. Religion unfortunately cannot be that mooring; simply because the history of Mankind shows that Religion can be misused to epic proportions to control minds, to rule people, to divide people and so on. Religion was not meant for that. Men simply devised means to manipulate Religion.

So think hard now: How can/will you "re-boot yourselves"?
