People who cant marry their sons and daughters outside their 'baradari' can never form an effective nation that we dream of.
That's their choice, don't confuse two things. The same bastards will gladly send their sons to fight a war when push comes to shove. When was the last time everyday launda out in street check each other baradari before engaging in launda bazi.

you are assuming pakistani troops can win the war in Yemen

assume they win the war for the Saudis. Then what is next for Saudis and Pakistanis ?

assume they lose the war or it is a bloody stalemate. What is next for Pakistan ?
With PAF, GCC, and Turkish warplanes pounding day and night, I have no doubt PA would have bend Syrian and Yemies over and in a matter of weeks. After the 2009/10 offensive in Fata, I heard General James T. Conway praising Pakistan Army's rapid success in clearing FATA, in an astonished tone while speaking to his marines in an unrecorded base gathering.

Why would Turkey join the Saudis ? Plus Turkey has dismissed 50% of their combat aircraft pilots after the 2016 coup

Pakistani troops might fight in Yemen. Fighting in Syria is not an option
May be now, but right time to capitalized was when Saudis initially asked for help few years ago. Saudis end up spending billions on US weapons and Trump returned the favor buy taking out some trash and show of support.
Now Biden administration is playing hardball with Saudis , and MBS is engaging Pakistan again.

.
The lesson should be not to fight anyone's war be it Americans, Saudis or anyone for that matter. The peanuts we get for fighting a war only fill coffers of few while the country suffers in most unimaginable ways.

The foreign policy should shift towards greater Pakistani interests and not interests of individuals or a party. Our relations with other countries should be based on equality or as a partners not as client state no matter how many shining toys they put on table.

Irrespective of what the Saudis want Pakistani army is not fighting in the Middle East without a wink from Uncle Sam. Syria is definitely not a place where Pakistani army wants to be with Russians, Israelis, Turks and Americans bringing in a lot of firepower

Idk about wink cuz Saudis already have Uncle Sam in their pocket as far support is concerned. Rest, Syrian opportunities is gone for now. Only Russian would have been on the opposing side, but with 100 to 150,000 troops massing on the Syrian border, along side support from rest of the neighbors and GCC. Russians would most ask for negotiated settlement, and gladly sacrificed Asad instead of getting embarrassed in Syria and all lose its say in future of Syria.
The foreign policy should shift towards greater Pakistani interests
Bahi Jan yahi tu Mustang Bahi bol rahy hain. Apni socho. Mufty ki Lari ky baje qom ki kidmat main laro. App mango chor ker khud peanuts ky pichay bagty ho.

Pakistan could have totally capitalized on the Syrian campaign. Not only it was the right thing to do, but Pakistan would not be in the same financial shithole like it is right now. GCC and Turkey were totally on board. This would have discouraged Tahren in their adventure in Iraq, Bahrain, and Yemen. Rest Yemen campaign would have been an added bonus to milk more money out of GCC. Pakistan could have easily got rid of most of the foreign loans, that are eating away at half of the budget. Have enough money to at least a few dams on it's own. forged new alliance, that will be useful when we need them during a conflict with India. Renewed all weapons stockpiles. Could have get rid of old Tanks and jets as a giveaway, to rebuild new Syrian and Yemen armies (Paid for by Habibis). All the weaponry in inventory has a shelf life, Pakistan needs to replace all this hardware sooner or later. That's what the US does, start a new conflict and get rid of old crap and spank two or three weak nations to maintain its clout.

No, but Pakistan politicians loyal to Pakistan neighbors decided to **** up the situation.

Could have, would have doest work.

Pakistan need to decide which camp it is on. China or America. We have been in American camp, got screwed badly, if 130 billion loses to economy was not enough, 70k citizens lost should have broken camel back long ago! So if you committed to China, in its BRI/CPEC project, China which has signed 400 billion dollars worth of energy deal with Iran, which by all account is part of BRI project and most probably will utilize Pakistani land mass for energy transfer to mainland China, you really cant afford to lit fires in your neighbour or let other do it, and have straight face to say that you are committed to BRI/CPEC.

You are going to get F all from American lead group of nations. Better get used to it.

The $400 billion deal with China and Iran is vaporware

The lesson should be not to fight anyone's war
Lesson should be to fight anyone's war as long as -

  • you get significant pay
  • you get geo-political trade and allied benefits
  • anyone is also prepared to fight for you in your time of need
  • there are no long term blowbacks
Pakistan has never fought directly for USA in combat. However countries like Turkey have even sent their soldiers to fight to death in Americas wars on other side of the globe. Turkish brigade fought as part of US 25th Infantry Division in 1950 Korean War taking huge number of dead for Uncle Sam. Turks literally spilled blood for America. But then they made sure they got the reward as well.

Losses
Overall losses for the Turkish Brigade in Korea was 721 killed in action, 2,111 wounded and 168 missing.[5] Among the losses is the lone Turkish pilot, Muzaffer Erdönmez, who piloted a US B-26 and was shot down over Wonch Ang-nı while bombing the railroad tracks.[40] A total of 14,936 men served in the brigade between 1950 and 1953[1] with about 5,455 soldiers in Korea at any one time.[41] The United Nations Memorial Cemetery in Busan, South Korea is the burial place for 462 of those casualties.[42] Two memorials to the Turkish soldiers are at the cemetery.[43][44]
