Al Jazeera: Is China cracking down on Ramadan? | The Stream

You cannot deny the fact that All Muslim countries have embargoed Israel economically and cut diplomatic relation with Israel. It is a show of unity. What we havent done is to liberate Palestine militarily. Nevertheles, we have taken bold step and action and that step and action should be appreciated.

And dont forget that Muslim around the world have become more conservative since 2000 and their government of course will try to satisfy their Muslim conservative aspiration by acting more Islamic in international front. I am optimistic about the future though.

Will see.
But it's like you...Who doubt the CN problem with Uighur, when abuses are real...
Remember when CN said that there is NOTHING against them...no prison, no reeducation center no nothing...Few years ago... or the "Everyone can fast"
Now... we got those reeducation centers THAT CN themselves is advertising as "Education centers"... out of nowhere... and that Officials and students can't fast...What a coincidence...

Now... they lied on something... the most logical next Q is... Is there more lies?

You make them feel the same...
Ask him about Palestine and Kashmir... ask him if he believes it's US propaganda?
After that ask him...Why he believes so...

And enjoy.

It's because of our relationship with China bro. For example, our public views China as a good country and a friendly neighbour. Historically we have had a good relationship. It's harder for them to accept that China would do something so bad. On other hand, we dislike Israel and India so it is easier to accept that those countries oppress Muslims. Do you get where I'm coming from?

The thing is...as @Indus Pakistan said... They know about it...
But they choose to follow otherwise...
Look at his thinking line...He got from "NO it's a lie to... Yes it's happening but..."

Why? many got their own excuses... But in the End it's the same... they are just Hypocrites and Selfish...

I wouldn't judge most Pakistanis off him. I appreciate that he does acknowledge it but he isn't very big on the muslim concept of an ummah so it's to be expected.

Whilst I may be harsh sometimes (and that is my flaw), I think we need to be patient and slowly persuade people, sometimes it's not easy to fully accept something which goes against a view you've had for years. It's not good of course, you're right but we have to play the long game on this one and do it step by step.

The Chinese authorities are a little rough in dealing with the Uighur situation, but they have genuine grievances. Pakistan could approach China to convey that the method should be revisited. I don’t seen any harm in that.

As for Western and particularly US propaganda, we shouldn’t fall for it. The US should in absolutely clear terms be told to piss off. We don’t want to hear anything from a hypocrite

Yeh the US is hypocritical.

No one should judge Pakistani ppl upon him/her... He/She responsible for his/her own views... and shall be called on that to him/her alone. No ambiguity on that.

Yes patience is a thing...I agree, something We/I may sometimes forget ... BUT imo... it's toward people who genuinely DON'T know or are in doubt... Not for those who "OPENLY ACKNOWLEDGE IT" and yet "OPENLY DECIDE" to follow otherwise...

Still I'm not speaking of him directly @maximuswarrior He may not know/doubt etc... But more for ppl like @Indus Pakistan

Oh well, I don't know how to persuade indus pakistan. It's just what happens when people take other ideologies over Islam.

He has bigger problems than China.

Did Jinnah take other ideologies over Islam?

"His time at the Bombay bar suggests that young Mr Jinnah identified himself first and foremost as a modern Indian. To him most religious practices were either meaningless rituals or useless superstitions. Dietary restrictions were summarily rejected by him. From all accounts he ate and drank at Bombay’s finest eateries like Cornaglia’s Restaurant. These eateries did not serve halal food and that did not seem to bother him in the least. Indeed he was the embodiment of Macaulay’s ideal Indian, an Indian by skin and name but an Englishman in tastes and habits. From his time in London, he also imbibed the best that British liberalism had to offer, rejecting racial distinctions and tribal associations as relics of the past."

This is Pakistani nationalism colliding with Islamic radicalism in UK. Between those who espouse a wider global Muslim order and those who push for Pakistani nationalism. You can see this contradiction everywhere. This punk @Numerous belongs to the radical Islamists that actually are resented by most Britons as well for the same reason in other nation states. They espouse a global order and NOT the nation state.

@Feng Leng

Your same guy who wanted to break your daughters legs if she wore a skirt in a past thread on here ? are you not ??

Pot kettle black .

Muslim minority groups in China are coming under growing pressure by Chinese authorities. From alleged re-education camps in East Turkestan to toughter controls on mosques, Beijing says it's simply trying to rein in extremism. But Islamophobia in China is finding more subtle outlets too.

It does not affect me whether Jinnah did or didn't do something.

This isn't a defence or an attack on him, I simply indifferent. He has lived his life and he is gone. The present matters.

The more they benefit from outside the more pressure they will face from inside.

Mao himself said, wherever oppression exists, resistance follows. The CCP seems to be forgetting their own lessons.
