Akinci & Aksungur and Turkish Unmanned Fighter Aircraft Program

Now, I didn't get one sentence.... the Author mentioned something like a Gatling gun? Will the Akinci have a Gatling gun integrated?
Of course no. AKINCI(raider) is kind of MALE+ UCAV air-to-ground fire support and patrol system. So the engagement altitude will be around 20k to 40k feet. And the main priority is the uninterrupted duty capability determined as minimum 24 hours with heavier ammunition types like KGK,LGK etc..

Besides this, There are no MALE+ UAV in this class to control the Gatling-type rotary cannon (something on the GAU-12 scale as shown in the video) kickback. If we talk over AKINCI, entire system will fly with 2x450 and 2x750hp engine sets.

That's what I thought - but in the Vid. the Dude is talking about something like Gatling-gun - disregarding that I don't understand the used language - and is showing the A-10 Gunship... that was confusing much o_O

But thank you for the clarification

Nops dear, the Gatling gun is planned for the said drone in the future as per some analysts.
Any dates? timelines? information? that would make Turkish UAVs become more and more something like an unmanned Gunship/Fighting Aircraft - that would be more than nice, considering that Turkey hasn't got anything like a Gunship and doesn't intend to buy any

it is wrong that Turkey make pd220 with GE. its 100% Turkish made. Turkey bought all shares of GE 10 years ago
Ok, thanks for the correction, that's great news that turkey producing this engine indigenously.

I have come to know that Azerbaijan is also interested in TB2, is it true?

TEı - GE partnership with the relevant trade completely, the rights of developed products to Turkey belongs. We supply engine parts to GE (Leap Engine etc.) For example, we manufacture GE T700 Engine as TEI T700, Alp Aviation company makes power transmission systems, but TEI is responsible for most of the other parts (critical), including core and combustion chamber. Some friends wonder that this mess does not benefit us technologically. We are obliged to transfer technology to produce these parts, and long-term partnerships have such advantages.

Nuri Demirağ's team members especially Selahattin Alan was a pioneer for their time. But we didn't have enough industrial capacity to support their ideas. If we could have produced more subsystems, his company could survive.
