Airspace violation: 2 Indian fighter planes enter Pakistan territory

Why even raise a voice and open a thread on this? Drones violate airspace everyday and kill innocent Pakistanis. If drones are allowed then Indian Air Force planes be also allowed to violate.

A nation or an individual who loses self respect loses everything. This is Pakistan of today, no dignity, no honor or self respect. Just hollow and fake bravado.

Don't get frustrated man. Predators are there, does not mean we are allowed to be there. I am sure it was unintended.

SOPs for both the borders are completely different. THere is a big difference. A plane coming from India is seen immediately as a potential threat.

As for the detection thing, I agree. We can see Indian airspace activity and should have and probably would have been seeing the 2 aircraft approaching. And when we saw them right near our border and subsequently intruding our airspace, we gave them a message that you are in pak airspace. Then they probably turned back. At those speeds, 3 NM go pretty quickly.

It could have been anything though.

If they are saying they spent 2 mins in the border, we probably tracked them for 5 mins... Then we tracked them enter the no fly zone, then they came into our border, then we sent them a message?

No fly zone main enter hogaya jahaz, you should scramble your PAF, and side pe baat cheet karte raho... 7 Km inside pak means it crossed their no flyzone and it cross Pak's own no fly zone.

They shot down our Atlantique inside Pak territory for crossing the No fly zone. Either this is a preparedness issue or a defence attitude issue, in both cases its cause for worry.

To some extent yes.

But these occasional cross border incursions are not something new. This sort of stuff happens. We don't have the details that the Indian aircraft were tracked from where to where, what was the duration, when the ADA scrambled etc. Jets going at Mach 1 take only seconds to cross a few miles.

So a cause of concern? Maybe, maybe not.

ISLAMABAD: Two high-speed Indian aircraft violated Pakistani airspace by three nautical miles on Tuesday, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) said.

A PAF spokesman said the violation occurred around 10:40 am in Attari, Fazilka sector.

The aircraft stayed inside Pakistani airspace for about two minutes, he said.

“Pakistan Air Force initiated prompt tactical actions and scrambled the two fighter aircraft to challenge the intruders. Upon PAF actions, Indian aircraft exited the Pakistani airspace,” said the PAF spokesman.

The 2 minute gap is when a pilot realizes he has made a major navigational FUBAR and looks over whether their GPS of whatever origin is really working or not. You dont panic and turn and burn if you hear you are in a wrong place since radar tracking can also be wrong at times.

The other scenario is that this could be a regular test of our responses in case of a future scenario the Indians are planning.. or if a greater hyperbole is allowed..they intend to blow up some citizens of theirs and attack us.. But then that is Zaid Hamid territory.

The IAF has termed it as a technical error...so if true, maybe just a navigational screw up on the IAF planes.

what ever be the case PAF should have responded more faster and either should have shot them or should have forced them to land but not get away
