Air Forces of South China Sea claimants

Just to let everyone know, you can't find quality pictures of Taiwan's Taiping Island.

Apparently, it's being censored by Google. Taiping Island may be covered by Taiwan's laws forbidding disclosure of military secrets.

"[While on the topic of the Spratly Islands in dispute…Why is Google Earth censoring the views of the islands? For some reason, on close-up view, all of the islands’ images have been distorted, cut-outs from other views, “air-brushed” details, such as the contentious Taiwanese airport being constructed on Taiping Island. Notice the Google view in the first snapshot below, and you see what looks like a dusty dirt-covered hamlet from somewhere else, compared to the actual image of the island airstrip in the following snapshot, from TerraServer."

The airfield exists. The jets exist.

Try putting the two together in your head. It's not that hard.

Jet flies from Taiwan to Taiping Island. Can you understand that?

Look, I don't care what you want to believe and I'm not interested in arguing with you endlessly.
----------

I've covered the upgrades to Taiwan's F-16s, Mirage Es and Ds, and upgraded IDFs.

I've given a citation for 338 Taiwanese AIM-120Cs.

I've also shown a picture of Taiwan's huge Taiping Island in the South China Sea.

Finally, I've given a citation for 180 hours of flight training for a Taiwanese combat pilot.

Putting it all together, I say Taiwan has the much stronger air force. Earlier, I had shown that Taiwan has 325 combat jets vs. Vietnam's 48.

The reader gets to decide for themselves whether I have made my case.

I've said everything that I wanted to say.

All your points about the Taiwanese air force are irrelevant because your whole argument is that they can control the SCS and my point is that they can't because they can't operate from Taiping island, there was never a Taiwanese jet in Taiping island and there has never been any talk from Taiwan about operating jets in Taiping island, you made all that up in your head.

Did anybody say that there is no airfield there? No, that's not the issue. So what is your island pic about?

Neither is the issue the differences or number of those 2 air forces.

The whole issue is about air power in SCS and since Taiwan can't operate in SCS, all your writing about how Taiwan will dominate the airspace in SCS is useless, but you keep insisting that there are Taiwanese jets in Taiping, so go ahead, show something to back it up, don't change the subject or make stupid excuses to evade the subject.

Retarded people such as myself need to see something clear cut, not fantasies from a 12 year old kid.

assuming you are right. taiwan moves some 100 jets to taiping. what are your jets going to do once we bomb the airfield in the first minutes? I don´t remember that taiwan has aircraft carriers.

Go back to Spain Viet fanboy. BTW hows your economy doing lately? haha

Don't change the subject, I want to see jets in Taiping island.

No problem, I'm sure there are many articles in the press about Taiwan deploying or planning to deploy jets in Taiping island, feel free to show us those.

As I said, most Taiwanese planes are not upgraded, their F-16s are version A/B block 20 and that's their main plane.
They've been talking about upgrading the F-16, but talking is not the same as UPGRADED.

Like I said, those Mirages are barely operational.

The Taiwanese built jets are a laugh.

Do you have any idea what the weather conditions in SCS do to unprotected planes? Obviously you don't have a clue.

Like I said, totally irrelevant, Taiwan can't operate jets in SCS, that's only your distorted dream.
I have never seen taiwanese jets in the SC Sea. it is just in martian´s dreams.

We all know is in his dreams, same as most of what he posts, but anyway, he is insisting, so........ Martian show us the beef or shut up, no excuses, no evading, no changing the subject, show us the beef please.

Looks like Vietnamese Su-30 pilots are currently untrained

According to this citation, it looks like Vietnamese Su-30 pilots have received no flight training yet.

As per a statement made in the Parliament by the Minister of Defence Manohar Parrikar on December 12, 2014, the Indian Government has approved the training of combat pilots of the Vietnam Air Force on Sukhoi-30 MKI aircraft. By this year end, Vietnam plans to have a modest fleet of around 35 Su-30 MK2 jet fighter aircraft in the Vietnamese Air Force. India is one of the largest operators in the world of the Russian-origin Su-30 MKI fighter aircraft and has developed expertise in operating the advanced jet.

Earlier, pilots of the Malaysian Air Force have also been trained by the Indian Air Force. The Indian Navy will also train personnel of the Vietnamese Navy in handling Russian Kilo-class submarines."

You have asked about 10 questions. I answered most, if not all, of them.

I asked you a simple question of how many hours of flight training for a Vietnamese pilot and you couldn't answer it. I went and look for a citation to answer the question myself.

Since you can't answer a single question about Vietnam's military, you have no right to ask me any further questions. Got it?
----------

My threads are based on facts. I provided many facts and citations in this thread. The reader decides whether my facts and arguments are convincing. That's all.

Here is the final summary.

Taiwan:
325 modern fighters (F-16s, Mirage 2000-5s, and IDFs)
F-16s are being upgraded with AESA radars
F-16s are equipped with 338 AIM-120C AMRAAM missiles
Taiwanese pilot receive an average of 180 hours of flight training

Vietnam:
48 Su-30 and Su-27 fighters
Vietnamese pilots have yet to receive any training on the Su-30

In a war, who wins? I say Taiwan. Thus, I claim Taiwan has a much stronger air force than Vietnam based on the totality of factors.

My answer? I don't know and I don't care. See, you are just evading the main topic, you wrote a lot about Taiwan dominating the SCS, all based in an incredibly wrong assumption that you can't back up and now you are pretending that you don't want to answer because of bla, bla bla, I was wrong, you must be younger than 12, 9 max, you talk and reason like a little kid and give excuses like a little kid, what a laugh you are. Go back to the chinese threads kid.

Germany is an industrialized nation. German pilots have flown other planes.

Vietnam is a dirt poor nation. Vietnamese pilots are unlikely to have flown any other combat plane.

The two countries are not comparable. Your analogy fails.
