The republic of india has been protecting one of its integral part (THE STATE OF JAMMU AND KASHMIR) after a TREATY WAS SIGNED by the head of the princely state stating its accession to the REPUBLIC OF INDIA because the raiders from the neighbouring pakistan tried to attack and annex it..

My history doesnt need any revision. Kashmiris weren't given a choice of whether they wanted to join india. That's why still to this day they refuse to accept india.

Any country will have hurdle to establish good relationship with Iran. Duality regarding so called independence movements and they listen to none. But still India has better relationship with Iran than most of the countries.

Only because of manmohans singhs's pro America policies we had some friction with Iran, Myanmar etc.

Also we have lost some goodwill of our non aligned movement.

And china have taken some advantages but thinks have changed as people realizes the real china and its intentions and the growth of powerful and strong India.

Indian foreign policies are independent and won't be influenced by USA, this temporary attention shift is just to gain US support for UNSC permanent seat.

india had a very good friendship with iran through out history,but recent changes in our foreign policy messed it completely .our PM is so happy with nuclear deal that he has forgotten the old ally.

i am not a foreign policy expert,but i think govt has done the right thing !! After all national interest comes first.
