What's new

Afridi refuses to dance with wife in Indian reality show

News anchors don't shout or act like aunty trouble maker & guests have a chance to speak up

My observation as well. And being sarkari, some of the guests are also pretty good, who by design prefer to come on state run national platforms instead of private ones.

So what? It is personal choice my friend..... It is afridi's choice if he want to participate or not.....

Do you mean to say that bikinis in the beaches are the indications of social economic status??

Well said

I m all for personal freedom but there are societal norms, values & principals.
Some things are acceptable & some aren't.
But according to kanjar narrative sophistication & progress is measured by the level of Ur kanjar attitude.
The more extreme U are the more u r looked up to & if U r a fool enough to disagree with them then U r considered an illiterate, ignorant relic of a bygone age.

No its not....but its a indicator of

1. How open our society is

2.Females enjoy greater freedom here...they can work at night...they enjoy much freedom...

3.Can you tell me a .....a decent night club in Pakistan where Couples can go...here we have night clubs ,malls even in shitiest...cities of India

4.Sure its Afridi personal choice as his upbringing....was in FATA or whatever...and i respect that.

What way his upbringing and his personal choice are connected...... I may not agree with me and my wife participating in a reality show, does that mean my upbringing was bad???? It is my choice and my wife choice.....

I am from Kerala, and as far as i know, there is no pubs in Kerala, and there is no decent night club as well, can you say Kerala is backward....... If you ask me they are not the indicators of how forward the society are........ Westernized one???? Yes they are......

2.Females enjoy greater freedom here...they can work at night...they enjoy much freedom...
.

Let us not even go there.......

1.The connection is clear...the region where he was raised is socially very backward...I think malala yusufzai was from there....women have to wear Burka etc etc...so why would Afridi participate in a show where he has to dance with his wife...

2...ok Kerala may not have have a pub...but that doesn't make kerelites backwards...

I've heard they do these private gigs in Pakistan where the booze flows freely and women wear skimpy clothes and smoke 'openly' (limited to rich folks I guess) but there are no public spots for young people to enjoy life..

for god's sake.. they are the islamic republic of Pakistan, man.. fun is haram, jihad is good.. please no comparisons to India :astagh:

Who decides what is fun?????

.
In punjab which is half of pakistan, there used to be two classes. The land-owners and the kamis. The land-owners (chodaries) would just do the chodraan and kamis would do all the work. All kinds from of work from petty labour to small crafts (blacksmith etc) to singing, dancing, prostitution etc. So for traditional land-owning families dancing etc is insulting but for others it is not. So that means for common folks in punjab it is fine to dance in public. But dont be surprised either if some consider it low cause they are just carrying the traditions of land-owning class.

yup, their urban society is quite backward and regressive compared to India.

I don't support these freaks, they're of the same mindset as fascist mullas who wont allow their people to have fun.. but these are isolated incidents which is why they make headlines whenever an incident happens.

our people are free to party
