The hadiths are fabrications, usually written by Iran-cultured people, begun to be written more than a hundred years after the death of Hazrat Muhammad.

We don't know what happened close to the big bang.

There are many models which claim the universe never came into existence, something was always there ( Steinhardt Turok Model, conformal cyclical cosmology, loop quantum cosmology )

There's also the big bounce cosmology

To sum it up, we are still exploring, you believers should also wait and not rush to any conclusions

As for the existence of God. If God exists, he is unlike anything your holy books mention. He most certainly doesn't want us to worship him 5 times a day, he most certainly isn't obsessed with a figure from 7th century Arabia. Likewise for Christians, Hindus and Sikhs. Your beliefs are too primitive and crude.

I consider myself to be an atheist since last 30 years (I'm 50 now). However, it had always fascinated me how these so called primitive religions, inspite of their numerous useless rituals & primitive preaching, managed to somewhat adhere to the cyclic universe theories. Almost all of them subscribes to end of times and some of them, specially Hinduism & Buddhism, subscribes to cyclic nature of creation & destruction of universe & life. Some school of Hinduism even promotes the idea of existence of multiple universes.

Since, like you said, we are still exploring only. Then how these many thousand years old theories had managed to capture the numerous possible cosmological probabilities, no matter how incomplete they may seem to be now?

I am assuming you are an atheist, but even before that, your only window into spirituality would have been hinduism. Confusing stuff. So your lack of appreciation is understandable. (but not your fault)
