They cannot. Their army doesn't have strength or numbers to do such a thing.

The only solution to this is for this horrible situation is for Pak army to extend Zarbe-Azab to Afghanistan's eastern provinces.

We'll end up doing it because all those who ran away from FATA to Afghanistan will start attacking Pakistan at some point.

Russia is an important player here. They can help rein in likes of Abdullah Abdullah and Northern Alliance and I like the way Pakistan and Russia are moving ahead with their relations. This leaves Taliban-India-Iran nexus isolated and weakened.
