Yeah and thats also the origin of "Khan sahib" jokes which you guys also blame on us,
May be because its mostly you guys from whose mouths we hear the racist Pathan jokes (in which Pathan is homosexual and bewakoof character), on every occasion whether its appropriate or not. So if the origin of these jokes are associated with Punjab, then dont blame us. Every day people are not historians to research about the origin of Pathan jokes. Simply dont crack racist Pathan jokes

Well then , you are denying that Pedophilia and Homosexuality specialy with younh boys isnt thought to be a matter of pride in many Afghan and Pushtoon cultures?
Even the Brits complained in 2014

No its not a matter of pride in Pashtuns. Its just a sin and perversion that exists in some Pashtun areas. About the British soldiers news..... in our areas when some one is frank with you , he might place his arm on your shoulder or give you a push or a slap on thigh (in sitting position) or grab your neck with arm during session of laugh and gupshup. Perverted Angraiz soldiers had too much estrogen in their bodies to assume that Afghan men were making advances on them sexually.

I am a British Pakistani myself and based on experience i have to agree with you on this one
We as a norm in Pakistani culture , do hug friends and here i can hug any female friend without problem but i have been called gay for trying to hug my white male colleagues

Thats not accurate, so any person that can speak Punjabi makes him Punjabi? No. My dad can speak 4 languages, Urdu, Pashto, Punjabi and also some Saraiki. Does that make him Punjabi?

Not sure how to explain this. I'm not talking about modern world where one can go to any place, live anywhere and speak any language in few years. Sindhi isn't a qoum but 30% of bit more of sindhi speaking population spoke balochi few centuries ago. They live in province who's border were drawn by British. Speak language called sindhi but by birth they are baluch and on personal level know it. Though I doubt many people outside sindh know about so many baloch in Sindh.

If you have watched punjabi comedy shows on geo tv etc you will notice comedians are making fun of other braderis/qoums in punjab, they don't refer to them as punjabi because no one in punjab will know what they mean and joke will be lost. They also make fun of their own qoum marasi. And obviously some times of pathans as well.

Because of it's size punjabi identity isn't given importance, people play politics on national issues in punjab. But if Punjabistan existed then anyone who lived there will identify as punjabi for obvious reasons, and those who came later and spoke different language will have separate identity.

That is why i am glad for Pakistan. It is just not Punjabi alone, we are talking about all kind of Muslims from India that emigrated to Pakistan as well. Pakistan is combination of mixed populations that is welcome and encouraged in Pakistan.

They [non-Pakhtuns] wouldn't last long in Afghanistan. It is one of the most racist and vile nation in the entire world. A nation where women are demeaned and children's innocence are abused is not fit to be mankind ever never mind for 21st century.
Subcontinent had been under Britsh Rule...which paved its way to multifarious cultural nation...here we love western, from Europe, America and all other western nation, respect them from the utmost of ur heart, we r gay hosting them

He and many others are gloating over successes of Sikhs against "Afghanis" in early 19th century but it were mostly Pashtun tribes of plain areas of KP who were at the receiving end and were given a bloody nose by the European-trained and disciplined Sikh army.
I some time get amused with the idea of race/religion based armies like sikh, mughals, lodhis, etc etc. Since centuries people have been used in the name of race and religion to secure power for few individuals. People with fiery oration exploit emotional intellect of people around them to muster up fighting force for aspiring king of time.

Nothing amusing about it, people of common origin or sharing same language ,culture and religion tend to rally around their own.....

Subcontinent baring Afghanistan always had strong rich in multiculturalism, but the arrival of British Rule only made the multiculturalism stronger against British Kingdom. All it takes is one common enemy to unite the community that is established on the multiculturalism ground.

British Kingdom had poor history of multiculturalism given its treatment towards its neighborly nations and their kinds. Need i to remind you of Ireland?

As for Afghanistan, the status quo remains the same, and precisely why nobody bother to go there. It is graveyard land, and always has been and always will be.

We too use Naswar in abundance , even our woman and we are not Pushtoon, I won't say what race though ;)
But point being, certain characteristics have been branded on certain races , while others do exactly the same without getting stamped.

It makes me really sad seeing the relationship between Pakistan and Afghanistan increasingly resembling the Saudi-Iranian enmity. You two belong together. Don't let foreign countries ruin your friendship.
Foreign countries aren't responsible for this, Afghanistan is solely responsible. They started this mess, and continue to live in denial.

I thought you believed that these Pathan jokes were started by Muhajirs in Karachi?
I haven't ever heard a Pathan joke in Punjabi.

I do believe that its origin lie in Urdu belt (Delhi and Lucknow in particular) of present-day India but who cracks them the most? the answer is Punjabis. When Punjabis owned Urdu literature, they also owned Urdu jokes.

There's an equivalent, tora/tor jokes (or something) among Pashtuns directed at Punjabis
