Afghan special forces take out TTP leader

Umar Mansoor's killing, Akhunzada's killing, Sajna's killing, Fazlullah's will be a real help and achievement in the war on terror. Instead this man has been bringing Taliban to the negotiating table. Its surprising how those that want to negotiate are the first ones to be killed. As if America is stopping them from talking peace and wants the belligerance to go on unendingly

Which peace talks? The only talk is for them to surrender be to Afghan forces or Pakistani forces and give an account of their actions for the last one decade.

Just curious:

Hekamatyaar - Good terrorist or bad?

He has laid down his weapons, disbanded his militia, if there is a case against him he will have to answer for it.
Sooner or later anyone who has ever committed a crime against the Afghan nation will be held responsible.

Something along what happened in in UN backed justice processes in Africa.

Hekmatyaar is an impotent terrorist.
He is of no strategic value. There aren't much armed men under his control.
Hikmatyaar is almost history now, he has only political value.

First: He has been pardoned and promised so many privileges, forget about prosecuting him, no chance.

And secondly thanks for admitting there ARE good terrorists and bad ones (good Talis and bad as you put)....

A little background:

The dude was repeatedly and I mean really repeatedly saying Afghanis do not distinguish between good Talibans and bad Talibans, or there are no good militants(terrorists) and bad ones. All of them will be killed/cleaned up.

So I asked him the question: Butcher of Kabul (just like Dostum): Good terrorist or bad? Because he has been pardoned and promised so many privileges.

He was talking peace, bringing Afghan taliban to the negotiating table. If Afghanistan is opposed to that why is Hekmatyar being accepted into the government after launching more than 200000 rockets on Kabul? I am usually pleased to hear about deaths of Taliban militants but this just reminds me of the killing of Nazir and Nek Muhammed, the former in the process of turning against the TTP, the latter who had signed a peace deal with the Pakistani government.

We do not trust the Americans I have to say. They kill militants at the worst times possible. I have never heard of a commander being killed when he is not at peace with us or negotiating. In fact Nazir's killing came at an inopportune time. When he was killing the TTP militants like the dogs they were. Days before the drone strike killed him the TTP had tried a car bomb attack against him. When the TTP wants someone dead and the Americans want the same person dead too it seems strange to me.

Qoute:
Azam Tariq had met the government’s negotiating peace committee comprising of Irfan Siddiqui, Maj. (retd) Muhammad Aamir, Rahimullah Yusufzai and Rustam Shah Mohmand at Orakzai Agency. Before joining the Taliban, Azam Tariq taught as a primary school teacher in South Waziristan.

For all those Fazal lullah, Akhundzadah etc...Afghans will have to go to "Indian cultural centers", can they ever do this?

All we need is Mullah Fazulluah ... give us that ... i would be the first one to protest against our sanctuary of Haqanies... If Afghans are not hosting our terrorists we don't need to waste time on theirs...

Fair point, and can we shake on this ? According to Ashraf Ghani the ANSF has undertaken around 12 operations targeting him, he has been luck so far but not for long.

Topi drama.

The attack on Mohmand Agency came from Jamaat-ul-Ahrar. These are not Ahrar associates.

These former TTP associates are now increasingly joining Daesh. The spilt came about when these associates accused TTP leadership of taking "outside money", i.e., Indian money. In short, Afghanistan is eliminating 'terrorist' who don't accept Indian money. Afghanistan isn't doing any favours to Pakistan.

Source: Most IS men in Afghanistan are TTP fighters

I sometimes don't blame the Afghans. Why not do our own operation in Afghanistan. But first step is locating Fazlullah. Proper intelligence network is needed even in Afghanistan. We should find the top militants who pose the threat to us and eliminate them ourselves.

We need to agree on one thing that these monkeys are curse both for the future of your children and mine. Now the Afghan gov had decided to em out, including the Fazullah,... it is just a matter of time.

Makes no difference to us whether Pakistan reciprocates or not, but sane minds such as you in Pakistan have an internal discussion among themselves on what kind of neighbourhood and in specific Pakistan they want to see, a state that is nurturing these folks or state that with all differences with her neighbours finds alternative means of working it out with her neighbours.

It is for you to decide.

Ok this is redline that you should never cross, unless you want an all out war.

As said we will take care of him, this is state policy, it's just a matter of time and resources.

@A-Team : I am still waiting for your response regarding Good Talis (militants) and Bad Talis.

Now that Afghan Govt has pardoned him and given him and his people full privileges and they are allowed to keep all those weapons, Is Hekamtyaar and his militants good talis or bad talis?

And also those with Office in Qatar: Good Talis or bad Talis?
