Afghan president telephones Gen Bajwa to confirm killing of Mullah Fazlullah in drone strike

He really should have died at the hands of Pakistani spec ops VS. by his ex-handlers. Funny how nobody is talking about Afghanistan (essentially a NATO state) being a safe haven for cross-border terrorists even though every single TTP big wig is being hunted and killed there. He had become mostly irrelevant anyway but he needed to die for his hand in numerous mass murders. TTP-JA seems to be the new baby of foreign intel agencies. We will crush them too.

.
Furthermore it is not clear who it did, it could very well be a covert drone strike by Pakistan.

I really doubt that. Neither the military nor the government (The least of which is an interim government) has the guts and balls to do something like this. It is done by the americans to take him out because there might had been another possibility and that is ISI grabbing him. That would have been even more embarrassment for the US and CIA. Hence they took him out. This also shows that US and Afghans knew it all along but only kept him to pressurise Pakistan. Now they will use Jamat Alhar.

.
Dont get your hopes too high. Khosani is the new poster boy for the Americans against Pakistan. Remember how labelling him as terrorist was vetoed by none other but the Americans.
Mullah Fazal ullah had outlived his utility and hence taken out as a sign of good will by the Americans but we should know better than to trust the devil.

Exactly my thoughts

All the cheering Pakistanis are playing right into the Amreekans hands. It's always a good day when a child murderer goes to hell. But the useless Pak govt is saying thanks instead of doing what normal states do and shout from the rooftops: WE TOLD YOU SO! and TERRORISTS ARE IN AFGHANISTAN!

. .
People you need to understand one thing here. Afghan Govt is desperate for a peace deal with Taliban and Pakistan has constantly demanded Fazal Ullah from them constantly. COAS recently visited Afghanistan and demanded the Fazal Ullah. There is no tweet or News update from ISPR. As Afghan Taliban have announced ceasefire and then this news come. Here is how CNN is reporting it.

Afghanistan claims US drone strike kills Pakistan Taliban leader

A US drone strike in Afghanistan's northeastern Kunar province has killed a leading militant, who was the man in charge of the Pakistan Taliban's (TTP) operations in the Swat Valley when activist Malala Yousafzai was shot in 2012, according to a Afghan government official.

Ministry of Defense spokesman Mohammad Radmanish confirmed to CNN that Mullah Fazlullah, who led the TTP from 2013, was killed in the strike Wednesday.
US forces had conducted the strike close to the border of Pakistan, targeting the "Emir" of the group, according US Forces-Afghanistan spokesman Lt. Col. Martin O'Donnell.
Fazlullah had been a major figure in the TTP even before he became emir in late 2013, and led a Pakistan Taliban militia in the country's Swat Valley prior to his elevation to leadership of the group.
The administrative district, in northwestern Pakistan, was where militants shot and wounded teen activist Yousafzai in October 2012 as she was riding home from school in a van; the Pakistan Taliban claimed responsibility.
A statement from US Forces-Afghanistan claimed that the strike did not put an ongoing, unilateral ceasefire initiated by the Afghan government at risk.
"US Forces-Afghanistan and NATO-led Resolute Support forces continue to adhere to the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan's unilateral ceasefire with the Afghan Taliban, announced by ... Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, which began on the 27th day of Ramadan.
"As previously stated, the ceasefire does not include US counterterrorism efforts against IS-K, al Qaeda, and other regional and international terrorist groups, or the inherent right of US and international forces to defend ourselves if attacked," read the statement. IS-K refers to ISIS' presence in Afghanistan.
"We hope this pause leads to dialogue and progress on reconciliation and a lasting end to hostilities," the statement added.

In the red lined statement by USA they never mentioned dead.

Let's wait for ISPR or any official word. There are even no images of him being dead.

This dog has survived in the past but I hope he is dead this time.

The death of This Dog is a huge News and will catch a lot of attention from International media but there is no statement from Both USA and Pakistan. We all know Trump how he like to boast about terrorist killing remember the MOAB strike or Yemeni raid Trump tweeted about it but about this news there is nothing till now. It is only Afghans that have confirmed it.

Here is the News on TOLONEWS.

Reliable sources have told TOLOnews that Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) leader Mullah Fazlullah was killed in a drone strike on Wednesday in Kunar Province in Afghanistan.

Wednesday’s drone strike reportedly took place in Marawayra district along the Durand Line between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Reports also indicate another four TTP commanders were killed in the strike.

This is not however the first time reports have emerged of the death of Fazlullah after the elusive chief of the banned group was named TTP chief in late 2013. He succeeded Hakimullah Mehsud who was killed in a drone strike in November of that year.

US Forces-Afghanistan spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Martin O’Donnell meanwhile confirmed the US Forces conducted a counterterrorism strike on Wednesday in Kunar province (USA is only confirming the drone strikes here) and that a senior leader of a terrorist organization had been targeted.

However, he did not reveal the identity of the target or the name of the group. He also stated that US-Forces were adhering to government’s ceasefire with the Taliban but that the ceasefire does not include counterterrorism efforts against Daesh, Al-Qaeda and other terrorist organizations.

"US forces conducted a counterterrorism strike, June 13, in Kunar province, close to the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan, which targeted a senior leader of a designated terrorist organization,” he told TOLOnews.

“US Forces-Afghanistan and NATO-led Resolute Support forces continue to adhere to the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan's unilateral cease-fire with the Afghan Taliban, announced by H.E. Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, which began on the twenty-seventh day of Ramadan.

“As previously stated, the cease-fire does not include US counterterrorism efforts against IS-K (Daesh), Al-Qaeda, and other regional and international terrorist groups, or the inherent right of US and international forces to defend ourselves if attacked. We hope this pause leads to dialogue and progress on reconciliation and a lasting end to hostilities," he said.

A source told TOLOnews that other commanders of the TTP killed in the drone strike include Abu Bakr, Sajjad, Emran and Mawlawi Omar.

Officials have in the past said Fazlullah directed numerous high-profile attacks against US and Pakistani targets over the years.

He has in the past been blamed for attacks such as the December 2014 attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar that killed 151 people, including more than 130 children.

Reports also emerged a few years ago that he had ordered the 2012 attempted assassination of Malala Yousafzai, who had been advocating for the right of girls to have access to an education.

In March this year, the US State Department offered a $5 million reward for Fazlullah, the same month Pakistani sources said his son was killed in a US drone strike on a TTP training facility.

For years Pakistan said Fazlullah was living on Afghan soil – but the Afghan government refused to accept Islamabad’s claim.

Afghanistan's government has not commented on the report so far.

Now next drone targets should be Jamar ul Ahrar.. Omar Khusarrani group whom US does not consider as a terrorist organization.. This group has direct affiliation with Al Qaeda and ISIS.

.
this is lesson for those terrorists who work for cia ,israel and india against their nation.they use them like tissue paper and kill them after getting work from them to remove evidences
Because if these were Pakistani assets under your control, this is how you would treat them, so you assume the Americans, Israelis, and Indians think the same way.

You're teaching a lesson, all right - just not the one you think.

.
This also shows how easy was for usa to neutralize him... but they kept a blind eye for 6 years

The Yanks obviously need Pakistan's help. They are going to be demanding for our help after this so-called "favor".

We need to show a big middle finger here. FM Mullah is an American asset. He has been flown into Afghanistan to murder innocent Pakistanis across the border. He has been doing this for years and US/NATO turned a blind eye. FM Mullah wasn't required anymore. Hence they killed him. Now they will try to extract favors.

FM Mullah's death in Afghanistan clearly reveals how terrorists are roaming freely on that side of the border. This is bad PR for US/NATO.

Sorry I have a little difference of opinion about that.
