Afghan peace talks should not cross 'red lines': India

You see my friend, you totally lost your common sense by asking such question. Pakistan played a master stroke by sidelining Karzai and then arranging American-Taliban negotiation and then stepping aside and acting they got nothing to do with it while still maintaining a invisible grip on whole process, but indian minds can't think beyond red lines i Guess ;)

LOL, and you think that constitutes a win? for whom? - Pakistan? Looks like the US has removed Pakistan out of the equation.

Haqqani network is veritable arm of ISI, it would be better if they remain in background and let Afghan taliban have talks with HPC and America.

And yeah TTP is vertible arm of CIA, while TTP proclaims their loyalty mullah umar, Afghan Taliban is CIA asset fighting against american army so they can stay longer in afghanistan

And Haqqani is integral part of Afghan Taliban. So assurance by Kerry is as good as assurances of Iran on nuclear bombs ;)

Your post shows that you have zero contacts in intelligence community.

Do you know why attacks in Paktika,Paktia,Khost on ISAF have decreased in 2013?

Because local Afghan Taliban have stopped cooperating with Haqqanis in this years spring offensive.

Couple of years back, America assured everyone they won't negotiate with taliban. Time changes very fast ;)

Haqqani leadership is under the command of taliban Shura and reports to Mullah Omar. expecting Mullah Omar to keep part of its southern faction out as a precondition of peace talks is ridiculous, laughable and down right stupid.

a demand that would only come out from the behind of someone frustrated, stressed out and ill-informed hopeless case who thinks that Taliban will sit down and allow themselves to be divided just because Indians have grudge against Haqqani Taliban and somehow see that these talks are benefiting Pakistan so they must be stopped.

@Pak-one

All proper and non proper Afghan taliban belong to the so called 'Group of seven'. There is nothing wrong woth ties or visiting India, but that must not come at a cost of our core interests.

India is main supporter of northern alliance/Afghan governament. Its necessary that Afghan taliban also create diplomatic ties with india and assure the protection of indian interests in Afghanistan. Afghan taliban have to show their mature side, at 90s they only relied on Pakistan and they suffered because of that. I am glad to hear that they have met in tehran and have talked with china. They should also meet india and russia....

Due to negotiations happening b/w taliban and Haqqani, and Haqqani group has already declared, If Mullah omer supports talks with US, we will support such talks, so a sign of good will being shown by every side. You are really naive when it comes to Af-PAK matters

Khana,,, janay dai apna propaganda, did they suffered due to Usama bin laden or due to Pakistan?

jallal udin Haqqani forms the part of central taliban Shura. whether or not it has links with ISI is irrelevant. it has a stong Afghan representation and has its due influence. whether or not someone likes it is not taliban's problem

here is a solution for India

why not it excludes the taliban completely and host a meeting with Only Abdullah Abdullah , general Fahim and other Northern alliance warlords?

:disagree:
This year ISAF raids in Kunar and khost are targeting only leaders of HqN,LeT and Al-Qaeda's Lashkar al Zil and not the local Taliban.

Wake me up when Any haqqani leaders gets killed or they do a major attack against NATO, until then enjoy your red lines :D

Pakistanis must ponder why Indian consulates in Kandahar and Herat have never been targeted despite the building hosting them being large and prominent landmarks.
