Afghan peace talks should not cross 'red lines': India

No need to worry, This time Taliban will not take over or come to power like in the 90's.

They had learned from their mistakes. You will find them more diplomatic and technical strong.

I

What is being said in the para above and to whom??

That is for local consumtion musey. :)

US is invovled and India cant dare to tell US ohhhhh doooo not cross red line. What the hell is red line here in the first place?

Dude this is all part of the game. If Super power wish a diplomatic Taliban they can make by hook or crook.

This world is working according to USA's game plan. Even if the Taliban joins in Democratic set up, there will be some factions which will destabilize Xinjiang.

Their main target is China.

USA also wishes to contain China from influencing Afghanistan for that they are working closely with India and USSR.

No need to worry, This time Taliban will not take over or come to power like in the 90's.

India is quietly building bases in Tajikistan, It is co operating with former USSR states.

India have FTA with four central Asian nations

India is building Chahabar port and highways to connect Afghanistan and Iran.

India will become biggest player in Afghanistan development.

India is bidding for multi billion dollar mines in Afghanistan.

India is training Afghanistan security forces.

India is Going to participate in pipe line projects which will be from C.Asia for energy security.

India is all set to revive centuries old cultural ties with Afghanistan.

India is ready to import dry fruits and other commodities from C.Asia.

These things all will make up worth Billions of dollars of investment and India have bigger stakes in Afghanistan peace process.

And the Afghans love India and Indians! :smitten::tup:

Unfortunately for Pakistanis, they don't like Pakistan too much. They prefer to keep them at arms length! Why? Because they're not doing anything for Afghanistan's reconstruction efforts or providing any aid in terms of health, education, development, etc. Instead the ISI is busy with its usual intrigues.

Now, I ain't saying this. Ask any Afghan and he'll tell you, except of course the Taliban (Haqqani)! And that's the reason why they don't want anything to do with Pakistan.

   OMG you Indians.

so now you want to ride on China's shoulder by coming up with this shyt.
nothing of the sort will happen.

Relex i see India will be shaking hands with Taliban once US decides to shake hand.

Period

India will play a key role Afghanistan peace process. :yahoo:

All this means is that the region will remain mired in a proxy war, with the main theater being on both sides of the Durand Line rather than on both sides of the LoC. This will be no walk in the park for either side.

THESE peace talks with taliban are a real setback for India, and can waste all its ground work and unknown amount spent in setting up its foot print Afghanistan.

in the end its Pakistan which is vindicated which always stressed the need to include the pashtons in the dialogue and kept the diplomatic channel open with the taliban. on the wishes of their Northern alliance warlords , the way Pashton were sidelined and dismissed by the occupation forces only helped the taliban to regroup and claim the representation of the pashton.

now times have changed and both America and Taliban understand that they cant completely defeat each other so a negotiated peaceful end is the only solution, whether Indians like it or not. they can take their red lines somewhere else because Americans and Taliban are busy in Doha now.

it is also great that Pakistan is also keeping distance instead of making a fool of a statement. let the Afghans and the Americans decide how this war will come to a conclusion. had the taliban office been opened in pakistan then India and Northern alliance would have shouted foul from the word go.

We don't want to ride on Chinese shoulders. It is Pakistan that is looking for a ride not us.

Yes India will shake hands with the Good Taliban who are willing to work with Democratically elected Govt. of Afghanistan.

This time around lot of countries are involved in Afghanistan, Russia is also looking to work along with India.

Mullah Omar said he will soon named his representatives for the talks. This also done away with some people's claims that he is not onboard.

:omghaha: GOOD TALIBAN?? hahahahahah bharatis are the ones who had been crying loud that there are no good taliban so what happened now?

...........

Yes, that is correct. This virtually ensures that the region will remain torn between rival interests with no enduring peace or prosperity.

Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah.

And who are these paper taliban ?

you are losing all levels of deparation monkey

The ones who wear black turbans, the ones who are operating in south Afghanistan. You can call them core taliban...the Haqqanis are their partners, their history goes back to 70s, they participated in afghan jihad and jalaludin haqqani joined taliban regime as minister....Like TTP they consider mullah omar as their amir ul momineen just like TTP but ISI is also their papa, this relationship dates back to Afghan jihad...Unlike Afghan taliban they are highly centralized and leadership is confined to haqqani family...unlike Afghan taliban, most of the low rank fighters of HQN are pakistani pashtuns.

They are the real trouble makers and true terror in Afghanistan. Unlike Afghan taliban, they are deeply linked with alqaida and uzbek militants and wont dissociate themeselves from them. They are responsible for some of the deadliest suicide bombings in eastern Afghanistan and most of the civilian casaulties....their deadliness is attributed to the help from their daddy.

The most funny thing in all of this is that these peace talks aren't b/w Afghanistan and Taliban, but b/w US and Taliban, with Pakistan persuading Taliban to come to the table.

Afghanistan (read Karzai) has been completely bypassed by all parties, that is why he is so pissed off right now and is cutting off numerous meetings and declarations.
India is no where in the scene either.

In the end, it is a US-Taliban dialogue, not Afghan-Taliban dialogue.

Karzai must be counting his days and buying a house somewhere in Europe or America to run away.

Wet dreams.

Just imagine if a small NATO country like Italy will station 700 troops post 2014 how many thousands of troops US and UK will station

Italy to post 500-700 troops in Afghanistan after draw down - ANSA English - ANSA.it
