The AMCA is truly the project I was rooting for in hopes they cancel this failed project LCA. Unfortunately, they are now jeopardizing AMCA to drag the LCA on.

LCA was never a failed project despite it's missed deadlines. It helped shape our aerospace industry. Secondly, TEDBF is sorta similar to AMCA but a non-stealth version. This is similar to Korean KFX where their initial aircrafts will be non-stealth after which they'll derive the stealth out of it. Also, AMCA requires a whole lot of new tech to be developed, particularly in the field of sensor fusion, stealth coatings, design, advanced avionics etc which will take time. Our squadron numbers are dwindling with the retiring Migs. We have a choice to buy something on the likes of F-21 or additional Rafales or focus on our own which will make us self-reliant and save valuable foreign exchange while bringing private companies onboard and providing them the required expertise.

One might argue why not focus on the AMCA but it takes a while for the platform to mature and doesn't help filling the gaps.

Dont be a idiot. The event has not started as can be seen in all photos where all sorts of coverings and ancillary stuff lying around. This will be cleared up and the Bomber of course has landed at the Show. You think it was just flying over India a day before the event just as a fly by.
