It will be MIG 35 bro... It's Fulcrum on steroids with Optical location system, AESA radars, optimized for ground attacks at the same time being an air superiority jet.... Russsians will certainly optimise it to perform maritime operations too like our MIG 29 K..... In short a mean, lethal, multirole and yet a cost effective fighter jet... Our experience with these jets can add great input in BAF too with this fighter.... In short a win win situation for both of us strategic allies....

You won't be allowed anywhere near the new MRCAs so keep dreaming. It won't be MiG-35s anyway.

Although I am happy for the news about the 16MRCA acquisition it's making me anxious day by day. The secrecy and uncertainty regarding the platform chosen is quite frustrating even though I'm sure it would be quite the surprise when finally revealed! But the curiosity is unbearable!
Whatever the case, I really want it to be a western bird!!!
It will not be surprising. It would have been surprising if they went ahead and bought more f7s xD

Can anyone tell me what those trainers would be? I would reckon western?

Bhai haan Pehli baat toh yeh hai keh inke Hamsaye, whom Bangladesh is subservient to, won’t let them buy anything defence related that resembles the word ‘advanced.’

Secondly, why is the law minister reporting it lol.

And lastly, even if they do end up purchasing something high tech, who they he’ll are they going to use it against?
Better to save up and spend it on New flood prevention technologies.

Won't let us buy 'advanced'!!! well let's see what happens then...
Law Minister is also in charge of Defence Ministry...
Why do we actually have to use it against anyone?! It's substantial deterrence we are looking for so that our two neighbors can't use theirs against us.....

Law minister has double portfolios. Understandable. But the fact remains, Indians won’t let Bangladesh purchase anything that could pose even a little threat to them.
Deference is needed where you have an enemy in the neighbourhood who is out to get you. Whose out to get Bangladesh?

Well India let us buy submarines. Now you will say two old mings can't pose any threat to them but the fact remains it can be lethal to their navy to some extent also their sonar signature is much lower than Indian kilos!
For now we have one visible enemy that is The Savage Republic of Burma. Also there is the invisible and potential enemy India.
I know no matter how much I explain you will not change your attitude and keep claiming we are subservient to the big bully, so I will not try to anyway! But at the very least I was inclined to answer your question...

India is in no place to "let" anything happen. You guys need to get over your unhealthy obsession with India.
No wonder you cannot fathom us not being at war with India at all times.
Unlike you our existence is not tied to India obsession.

You can't. India is strong there. U need the airforce and navy atleast like Pakistan to counter India. We have Thunders armed with CM 802 AK, CM 400AKG, Mirages and 90Bs armed with Exocet. We have ZDK 3s as air surveillance for our costs. P3Cs and ATRs are used for Anti sub Warfare. Indian subs have been detected by us. We are upgrading our 90Bs and getting 8 subs from China. We have Zarbah as Costal defence and Harbah, Harpoon as Anti Ship Missiles from our ships. We have Torpedos with max range upto 50km. On 27 Feb we showed India that we are superior to them in air. This will keep India from doing any misadventure in seas

We’re spending 1 billion dollars behind a submarine base alone, I’m pretty sure no one spends 1 billion for 2x subs worth 200 million... plan is to keep 8 total subs. 16 frigates... as many corvettes, patrol crafts etc ASW capability is being looked into. There’s only one area I’m concerned about... that’s the Air Force. Given naval strike platforms and MRCA will both be operated by airforce for the time being, I am worried they don’t **** up the purchase. I’m not as worried for the navy... all military affiliated shipyards in the country is busy making one thing or the other and that’s why they’re buying used frigates as stop gap

India cannot stop Bangladesh from procuring any advance weapons system they want.... in fact it's in the interest of India that Bangladesh is becoming stronger..... we both are strategic allies.... in future China will shift its focus on bay of Bengal too.... India and Bangladesh both are weaker powers compared to China military might.... we are both getting ready for that future.... hence the strategic alliance... we need strong Bangladesh so we can protect each other....

It's great to see Bangladesh flexing up the muscles.... only thing is they should maintain the commonality in platforms considering our strategic alliance...
