We have around
40000 Light utility vehicles (TATA Safari, Windy 505 & Maruti Gypsy) and 70000 trucks + unspecified numbers of APCs for CI ops.

Future addition will include TATA WhAp and Light Strike vehicle. OFB ICV will also be inducted next year.

1.bulk of indian T 72 Ajeya fleet is night blind ( aka useless )

2. arjun is too small in numbers to make any difference , ( it is a sub standard tank, but thats another topic )

3. the indian armor thrusts are predictable . our defence lines are heavily mined and obstacle ridden.

4. your calculation premise doesnt take into account the massive number of baktar shikan rounds PA fields( more and more being deployed ) + TOW systems ( though smaller in numbers ) . latest gen BS ( now being deployed ) can easily kill any ERA on indian armor .

the number of BS rds , i cannot disclose, yet they were/are being used rather liberally on LoC for 'sniping' duties ,

5. the tank number PA fields needs to be double checked. 700-750 type 59s are missing

-------------

tank roles are now becoming questionable ( 100 yrs post the muddy SOMME in france ) , empiricial evidence from syria, ukraine etc post a dismal picture where tanks were shot en masse by ATGMs /gunships and made little progress without adequate air cover.

offensive capability for the mentioned ??

Explained very well. Summed up nicely.
If anyone still has doubts, Add "Nasr" . Game Over.

. . .
The soviet empire in 60s 70s was prime example of military domination through tsunami of tanks and armored columns. After the invention of guided anti-tank missiles its a different story. I believe PA has a few thousands of those. Although PA still has room to absorb present gen. tanks and IFVs

. .
T90 tanks are not easy to destroy by Anti tank guided missiles as this is tested in Syria

.
1 . not all T 90s ( itself an upgraded T72) are equipped with active protection systems

2 . not all ATGM are TOW either

.
Saying tanks are useless because of advancements in ATGM systems is like saying airplanes are useless because of advancements in air defence systems. Just because you have a counter to a weapon doesn't mean the weapon won't be used. It is the job of each commander to make the best of what he has and mitigate or nullify whatever the enemy has.

.
India will be on the offensive and attackers need greater ratio for attack

Pakistan has defensive strategy and thus does not need to match armoured numbers

Pakistani anti tank teams would make mince meat of Indian armour even without heavy tanks

.
Y it is taken for granted that india will be in offensive n pakistan defensive...it is possible one more pakistan jarnail gets itch in his rear end to repeat something like kargil offensive
We didn't used tanks in kargil..
