Act against JuD or face sanctions, US tells Pakistan

Its is your people and you should control them or able to control them.Else it is just like Libiya or Yeman that the govt. does not have writ on its territories,
How can you control organized groups, the whole police force of the planet can not control the Mafia and other organized crime organizations, it has been made worst yet by the internet, the dark web and what have you..let alone some legitimate organization with national, regional and international support..It will be easy to change name and say that the organization was dissolved, but it seems like the new US administration it just looking for some Alibi to put sanctions on Pakistan the close friend of the next enemy to be, China..

I am not sure how banning is going to end this organization? There is a big amount of ahl hadees/salafis/wahabis who are not part of JUD yet they have sympathies with them for the work they do in FIF. JUD has a really strong network at root level at least in lahore for sure. Indian and west see JUD in one perspective and the locals in another. according to my observation they cant be stopped easily because their workers are committed and also the ban is only going to make them explore new ways of continuing their work and nothing else. the ban will only give chest thumping opportunities to opposition but at local level people who still are not the part of it may come even closer and the ban might be the reason for expansion of JUD under some other name in the future. there are big groups of ahl hadees organization like youth force and others which are not part of JUD. if they all get to sit together and have some kind of agreement then this will be a nightmare for the ones who are against JUD. the possiblity of it is low though because of generations of differences but you never know. the ban on the name and Hafiz saeed alone wont change much. they even get happier when their name is mentioned at international level. they consider enemy speaking against them as appreciation of what they do.

When there is a will there is a way...mass execution of all JuD associates and affiliates sounds like a good idea..when there are no more people..there will be no more supporters...add to list..anyone who donates for causes of terrorism needs to be eliminated..we may lose half the population...but for change and peace...its not something strange...Soviet Union, Germany, France, Jews of Europe, all have been through this phase...Human population pool after certain limit of accumulation needs elimination of undesired by force...

we don't support terrorism but we support freedom fighters and oppressed people irrespective of their religion every where. We helped Palestinians, bosnians,Indonesians, kashmiris, afghans, Kosovo and all other freedom fighters and we will do it in future too irrespective of consequences.
We will eat grass but won't leave kashmiris alone in their struggle.
hi,you are already eating grass and will continue to eat grass in future(comment on your economy). Why dont you add baluch struggle in the list of your freedom fighters.

Act against JuD or face sanctions, US tells Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has again been pushed to decide whether it’s going to declare Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) as defunct or continue to give it a clean chit. However, this time the United States has clearly told Islamabad that in case of not following the ‘advice’, Pakistan may face sanctions. On the other hand, JuD may also change its face again with a new name, highly-placed government sources told this correspondent.
“Consultations are going on whether to declare JuD as defunct or not. However, the final decision will be taken after consultations between the civilians and military authorities,” one of the key senior officials directly linked with the matter revealed to The News.
JuD, a charity organization, is also alleged to be the front for the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). The organisation, which is headed by Hafiz Saeed Ahmed, is allegedly involved in militant activities in Indian held Kashmir and has already been declared as a ‘foreign terrorist organisation’ by the United States in June 2014.
The sources claim that the United States assistant secretary of state in his meeting with Jalil Abbbas Jilani, Pakistani High Commissioner to the US, on January 11 this year raised the issue in the Asia Pacific Group on Money Laundering (APG)’s latest report.
The APG on Money Laundering is an autonomous and collaborative international organisation which is working since 1997 from Bankok, Thailand. The 41-member organisation includes the Financial Action Task Force, International Monetary Fund, World Bank, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Asian Development Bank and the Egmont Group of Financial Intelligence Units. APG is involved in effective implementation and enforcement of internationally accepted standards against money laundering and financing of terrorism.
Reportedly, in the latest APG report, some key objections were raised regarding the activities and the financial traffic of JuD. The same were presented before High Commissioner Jalil Abbas Jilani.
The sources claim that the US authorities clearly told the high commissioner that if the objections raised in the report were not addressed, the US may put Pakistan in the blacklist of the countries in the International Cooperative Review Group (ICRG).
In case of being blacklisted, Pakistan has to tender a request for each of its international transaction through the international financial institutions.

The source claimed that the high commissioner soon after the meeting wrote a detailed letter to the Foreign Office (FO) informing the situation. The letter also informed the authorities that Pakistan has to write back a report until the 31st of January regarding the objections of the APG and the US authorities. In this regard, this correspondent contacted the spokesman of Foreign Affairs Nafees Zakria who said he was unaware of any such thing. Later, a formal question was sent to him in writing but no answer was received even after five days.
The sources claimed that the Foreign Office has raised this issue with the Finance and Interior Ministries. In this regard, two separate key meetings respectively with Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and National Security Adviser Lt Gen (retd) Nasir Janjua have taken place.
The sources claim that Dar, in a closed door meeting, had clearly said that the decision to ban the JuD would be made by the security establishment. The sources claim that it has unanimously been decided that the report containing the concerns of APG would be drafted by Syed Mansur Ali, the director general of State Bank Financial Monitoring Unit. Despite many attempts to reach the DG MFU, no response was received.
In this regard when this correspondent contacted another top official who was directly linked to the issue until recently, he said that all the concerns are in the picture and necessary actions are being taken by the relevant officials.
On the other hand, the JuD has started discreetly working under the name of ‘Tehreek-e-Azadi-e-Kashmir’ (Kashmir Freedom Movement). The latest name has been adopted by the JuD chief Hafiz Saeed since January 14, 2017 in a press conference. According to Saeed, they have declared the year 2017 as a year for Kashmir, so they will be using this name besides keeping their independent position as JuD. The sources claim that in the days to come, the JuD may change its face again and may also announce to join politics probably with the new name. This correspondent attempted to reach Yahya Mujhaid, the spokesman of JuD, but he too was not available for comment.

Now Pakistan will know what US is capable of and why they need US and why they are only super power. But not China.

Lol the next moment u arrested Hafiz Saeed . Ban is on the way with many other terrorists groups.

Now go to China

Fvck the US. We will see what this pu$$y grabbing clown does. He can shove his sanctions where the sun don't shine.

When is India going to be sanctioned for sponsoring terror through its Afghan terror consulates across the border?

Why anyone sanction on basis of dreams of ur filthy jealous Head?

And you talk about US and Trump as if you are most powerful !!! Dude u still begging for few millions not even billion Dollars to buy some 8 f16

Sanctions didn't deter Pakistan from becoming a nuclear power and building one of the most advanced strategic defence programs.

Sanctions didn't deter Pakistan from acquiring the capability of producing it's own Submarines, Cruise Missiles, Ballistic Missiles and Fighter Jets.

That was THEN. ....... NOW, there are stronger relationship with China and lately Russia.

To all the baniyas and red-neck yankees I'd say ........ Go Fu@# Yourselves. iiIii

Read my post again.

US sanctions didn't stop us from achieving our goals earlier. Now, they'll be more ineffective than earlier.

I dont even know how having these non-state actors helps Kashmir cause infact they pollute genuine Kashmir concerns of human rights and at the same time silence voices of those who have genuine point for Kashmir and Pakistan.
It is also used by India as an excuse to give nothing and continue with similar coercive tactics, these non state actors are actually helping India.
Something is seriously wrong with people who are crafting Pakistans foreign and security policy.

Didn't Modi call on to support the Balochistan independence (terrorists) movement, which part is not real?
He gave the speech in hindi so how did you understand it?
Anyways...just in case you missed it- Modi in his speech also called for the PAKISTANI citizens to rise against the terrorists within their country. Lol

The defense system is a house of cards if there is no balls to use it..when was the last time PAF bombed Kabul or enforced a DMZ across the Durand Line? Never!!

WOT = Big cash cow for many players in Pakistan..everyone washing their hands in running gangaes of money!

So called islamic terrorism emerged straight out of collapsing economic situation starting from Bhutto Islamic socialism and ending with American sanctions...if Pakistan ever took a leap in prosperity it was during Mush era when sanctions finally ended..so to hyper bluff that Pakistan could survive sanctions has no sense...if sanctions remained on Pakistan by 2010 it would have ended up as another Syria and Iraq...what did we accomplished during the sanctions era was some military projects on paper only...money only became available during Mush era to complete them! Pakistanis are not super human...

The balls are there and not just the balls, but the hot-rod on top of'em have been put to effective use several times in the recent past, not only within borders, but in Afghanistan as well. Your problem is that "you do not know". Remain in your lala-land.

So more sanctions are coming. Does anyone still want to argue if US is a friend or foe? The writing has been on the wall for a long time. We chose to ignore it at our own peril.

usa know well that jud in already renamed. so demand for banning jud is a political and psychological show without any ground effect. even if jud banned the show will continue.

I think the leadership is also named and shamed..so same people going to any organisation would also come under ban umbrella..!

I know it well...it doesnt take a genius to eliminate Malik Ishaq ...the fact that it is being done slowly with a lot of pomp and show at cost of tax payer money is a questionable matter. The state is powerless to even control the mumtaz qadri crowd and stop construction of his shrine...when governments cannot impose the law of land..its called a failed state...!

Terrorism is one of the exports of Pakistan and the state answer to uncontrolled terrorism is so called sanctions of the 90s...well guess what...there has been no sanctions on wards from 2001 and massive forigen aid has been contributed to fight terrorism...and the results are not tangible..three army chief have retired fighting terrorism with a lot of pomp...and zero result..do you understand the implication if a country cannot deplete man and material pools of terrorist for 15 friggin years of continuous fight? Terrorism did not dawn upon us from an alien land..it was very much created as a state machinery..and therefore the pool will not deplete...because for every terrorist eliminated...there are ten ready to take the role..

India, Africa and a boat load of other countries have far more impoverishment and poverty..they do not have rampant terrorism like Pakistan!

Terrorism in Pakistan is first and foremost..Pakistani problem..the highest suffering of man and material losses to terrorism in borne by Pakistani citizens..the shameless establishment en cashes it on global political stage as more aid and funding to fight terrorism..
