Telangana, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh get fresh dose of power

Hyderabad: Telangana got some good news on Monday with the Centre allocating 222 MW from the Central pool to the state. The supply could start from April 1, and may ease the power situation as demand begins peaking.

The power became available as the Arvind Kejriwal government had decided not to take 693 MW from the NTPC.

This electricity has been allotted to three states: Kerala, 167 MW, Telangana 222 MW and Andhra Pradesh 304 MW. The Telangana quota will increase to 374 MW from October 1.

Only recently, the state had got 242 MW in a gas swap deal, and had released Rs 350 crore to purchase power from Kayamkulam.

I think Delhi voted for AAP because there was a dip in corruption during their earlier 49 days in power. Everyone is fed up of the difficulties in getting even the most minor things done in govt offices. I assume the corrupt were just on " hold " figuring out their next move.

Anyway, it is what it is, the signs don't look good. One great thing about Indians though is that we never learn from history. It's like we are doomed to keep making exactly the same mistakes for exactly the same reasons after having been proven wrong a hundred times. Sometimes I think there's no hope for this country, we are a bunch of idiots.

Agreed there was a dip in corruption. But here is how I explain it.

Even the most corrupt people will stop corruption temporarily if they know that it is risky to take bribe and can get into trouble. In the first term, it was obvious to everyone this government will not last long. However they behave differently when they see it as permanent situation. There are many ways it can become a nightmare for people. When there is no personal interest, getting money from corruption, there is no fear from anyone. The transfer does not work and you cannot suspend because nobody is being corrupt now.

Example:-
1) Every Autowala breaks rule and so do many citizens, but do they want to pay fine? All Delhi police can do is put strict process on fine and people will hate it. (People asking for honest government should be law abiding)
-- Example When you hit someone with your bike, nobody wants to go to jail, same for other accidents
-- Many people below their age ride bike.

The same can be applied to government hospitals and schools.. Ask common people to follow law where majority are use to not following.
1) Giving admission by first come first server instead of sifarish.

These Aap supporters are very theoritical in nature. They have not realize that practical world is very different.
Arvind Kejriwal has realized himself, that is why he changed the stance on many of issues he raised and this is going to continue.
1) He has asked for big Bunglow. Manish Sisodiya got the Bunglow which Shila Dixit had. (Leader should have vision for years, here he cannot even think what will be needed in next few months.
2) Swaraj, his big ticket item, he did not even implement Swaraj in his own party. Now he is realizing everything cannot be done with discussion with volunteers. I agree with him, the only thing is we knew this even before. It is not practical to have swaraj like that. So it basically proves that Arvind Kejriwal had wrong understanding.
3) Look at the Lokpal thing, Arvind Kejriwal does not have faith in his own Lokpal. He wants the nation to setup Lokpal. Again proves he was impractical about what he proposed.
4) He said Delhi has enough funds, now he is saying we need to ask funds from FM Arun Jaitely. (Again proves his lack of understanding on funds.

Above points basically proves that he does not have practical approach, when he has to implement than he realizes. There are many honest man available, but in practical world not the honest and principled man wins. Rather a practical and shred person with right intent is what gets you more job done and in that sense I trust Modi.

Note:- I was big supported of AK before but when I realized that he cannot plan very well, lies to remain populist. He has lied many times. I lost faith in him.

1) I did not ask for Bungalow.
2) Binny does not want to be minister.
3) I never asked support from Congress.

I agree however just on thing...ignore the Aaptards...if you see these are some good signs as well...the most glaring one's are that he is getting the real hang of politics...as long as he delivers on good governance i will happily take all the nonsense that is being thrown all around...just because you are taking a government owned accommodation will not make you thief....otherwise almost every single govt. employee is one.....he seems to have realized this...however along with that his actions are making me nervous as well...for example it seems there is going to be some parliament gherao drama by AAP against Land Acquisition Bill...this means that lure to go all over India is still very much there...which is not good IMHO...
