A Visit To India, A Lollypop To Pakistan

well if that is the case then I can easily say that they are screwing us up just because they hate us for being Muslims. Would you agree to that.

lol What?

Didn't I give the example of Turkey? Aren't they the inheritors of the Ottoman Empire ?

People are missing the point.

Obama's visit to India is not to please India, but for domestic American politics. He is visiting the two countries that represent a sour note in American domestic policy: the Afghan war and jobs outsourcing. He aims to show solidarity with the troops in Afghanistan, and to get some Indian money pumped into the American economy, i.e. jobs.

Isn’t your assumption too simple? Why didn’t you recognize that world order is changing, new relations are assuming more importance and power is shifting

Well, thanks for accepting that, i was expecting some other reply, but surprises are good sometimes.

But in our case, US wants that we only scratch its back, while they do nothing.

Good for India, that it has the power and will to not just scratch, rather take something in return too, that is how politics are played. And hope and am sure, India does not and will not suffer the way we have at the hands of US.

Well thats how it should be and that is why Obama is coming to India.

Not only Obama, even Gordon Browm came, Sarkozy and Chinese premier are also going to come.

Atleast until now, it seems, India knows what it wants and how to get it.

Like I said, it is more about perception than reality. The reason the Democrats are taking a beating is because of the economy and (Indian) outsourcing has become one of the scapegoats.

Obama promised action against outsourcing as a whole. He has not been able to achieve much in his government as of yet.

The vast majority of the people they hire are Indians, or recent immigrants, who will work for less wages. If anything, they contribute to the perception that Indians are taking away jobs, even the ones that stay in America.

I would not agree. Indian firms are hiring US citizens as well.

Precisely!

Getting off-topic but, aside from front-office and sales/marketing jobs, the vast majority of employees in these big Indian companies are either Indians or recent immigrants of various types. These companies operate very much a desi khata style of management.

But Pakistan really have no options here. They have to follow the American line.

NATO supply line closing pretty much showed who follows who.

Please don't rant without some explanations.

There can be some strategic advantage to Pakistan Like NATO supply line which Pakistan certainly can use but you also know US is holding many Vitals of Pakistan like your economy is running very much on American aid and IMF loan. If you have so much strategic advantage than can you dare to stop Drone Attack which each and every Pakistani is opposing.

Obama's visit to New Delhi & Kabul and giving a miss to Islamabad will n't have any +ve impact on India & -ve on Pakistan's health (not the same with Afghanistan though). This itenary only proves that America is Opportunist & Greedy to say the least. Nothing to feel Euphoric or Grim about. It's just that US needs India & Pakistan more than we need them.

So, we can say, India is towing the US line of becoming a counter weight to China.

Or may be you guys can change the towing thing to some other strategic partnership or economical benefit jargon.

where were You sir, when pakistan was Yesman for USA IN 60S,70S,80S? ? Well we know our limits and we do things with diffrence. India and Us are talking about mutual frndship ,and if they faild to mend their rule to Us then we always have russia at other side ...

Lets be serious here, US is the superpower and its your country's geographic location is so unfortunate that the US cannot carry out its operations without Pakistani help, this complicates the situation for your country.

I repeat my question again (which has not been answered by anyone before in this thread):-

Assuming Pakistan decides on non-cooperation with US/NATO, what further options does Pakistan have in front of it?

Do you really know or you just assume? I have worked in several companies in US, I have never seen an Indian immigrant getting paid less than their US counterparts. My friend's wife (recently married) has a bachelors degree from India but she gets the same wage as other americans who work in their group. Its different altogether if they bring an Indian from India to finish a project. They get paid less but it is still significantly higher than what they get in India.

Indians who hold Masters degree in US are given the similar wages as that of Americans, sometimes more. So please don't assume all of us are working for under paid wages to get these Jobs.

Till now history tells us that US has done anything and evrythng to protect its interests whenever wherever it may be.
It doesnt care if it hurts someone or not.
I dont know whether our netas are really stupid or are acting naive (well i hope they are) by doing all these gimmikey things to satisfy US.
