I have read whole Quran verses with translation in Indonesian more than once. I would say translation depends on the translator knowledge and thinking ability. In some translation I feel they translated in wrong way. But Muslim society unlike in many other religion has their Quran with Arabic and translation printed, unlike in many major religion like Christian or maybe Hindu with completely dont use the origin verses with origin language put on their holly book.

Muslim also has word per word translation from Arabic, so for non Arab folk or for those who dont understand Arabic, they can see more authentic Quran on those Quran with word per word translation (they also provide Arabic version as well)

Some people pointed to Shia translation of Quran maybe intentionally. First and most important point is that only 1 Quran exists in the hands of Muslims no matter the sect.

We have 3 versions of translations in Iran, first is word by word which we call it تحت الفظی translation. It is hard to underatand esp for the people that have no knowledge of Arabic language. Arabic language when it comes to its literature is very very eloquent specially the way Quran speaks. It conveys different meanings in one sentence, short and full of meaning. Hence, there are experts to add the lacking verbs in the translated language to make it easy to understand. It is the second type of translation inwhich nothing has changed and there is nothing added to specific waords of Quran in the second language.

Third type which we call Tafasir or تفاسیر is different and only experts are allowed to do that. Explanation :
"The meaning of "Tafseer Qur'an" is to reveal and explain the meanings and intentions of the verses of the Holy Qur'an, which is done by using reliable sources, including the Qur'an itself, the Sunnah, and intellectual proofs. The interpretation of the Qur'an has been carried out by commentators using various narrative, literary, theological, jurisprudential, and other methods, which are known as "interpretive methods".

And i think that Tafseer exists among Shia and Sunni scholars.

Qadianis aren’t the only one, Shias also print their own Quranic translation.

Many books are available in Pakistan, Titled like Amil peer ky Qurani wazif, Qurani tawaz, Qurani duain and istakhary with twisted ayats from Quran along with shyateen names. Black magic in in disguise.

Recently I caught this book in my family, someone brought it from Pakistan. Guess what, some page were clearly point reader towards jadu toona.

Publications of Quran should be licensed to vetted large publications houses. Anyone else caught printing full or in party should be prosecuted.

State control of religion must be implemented, even if it's imperfect. The laissez-faire approach of countries like Pakistan leads to utter degeneration.

This needs to implemented on issues beyond just Quran printing; sermons, madrassa curricula, etc.

But our governments (and mil establishment) has always chosen appeasement of popular religious lobbies.

Not sure if this already exists but there should be a different subject in the national curriculum with a specification that is self-written around Islam teaching the basic principles, fardh, way of life, and also teaching how to filter out incorrect manipulative information. It would be helpful in our context.

Scholars, Imams, mullahs, everything related needs to be state regulated.

Can you really stop a group from believing whatever they believe? Every religion has versions, sects, castes, denominations, ....many ways to group and subgroup beliefs.

When 5 people get together there are 6 opinions of the same phenomenon.

The only peaceful way fwd is tolerance of differences. You tolerate their belief if you want them to tolerate yours.

If it carries their seal of approval then interested people could be reassured what they are buying is the “legitimate” version.

You do not to worry on those thing. We can see Muslim world has different view already. Muslim world can tolerate different view and respect each other. Muslim world is big, from Middle East, Africa, Europe, into South East Asia.

We have authentic Quran written in Arabic. Translators and Tafsir (Interpreter) can have different view. Intellectuality and knowledge are also different on each Muslim. One Muslim can interpret differently after reading one Quran verse with the other Muslim.

Regardless of that Muslims 99 percent have common understanding on Islam, some differences are minor. Only Ahmadiyah and other very small sects that is not tolerated, even Sunni and Shiah can be friends and get along each other, despite that Shiah is minority in Muslim world, only represent 10 % of Muslim

Best Tafsir of Quran I would say is written by Quraish Shihab, Indonesian citizen and also Arab Indonesian ethnically. He is top notch when he made the tafsir using Arabic complex language understanding as he is Phd in Arabic literature from Al Azhar university in Kairo, Egypt.

He will interpret Quran verses word per word and even discuss the root of the word and the history behid the individual word itself. You cannot see flaw in Quran if you have high intelligent and deep knowledge. The more intelectual you have, the more knowledge you have, you will respect Quran more and admire Quran more.

I hope his works can be translated into English

That is what I was telling. Nobody has a problem with it as each community uses the translation it thinks is accurate. Otherwise, we will need an international Supreme court to monitor all translations for accuracy.

Mate Christians have stopped practising their religion decades ago. Many Christian countries have become secular and atheists. That's why they don't care how many different versions of Bible are there but Qur'an is still preserved in its original form.

Every sect/school of thought/religious groups intreprets and translates religious texts according to their own beliefs. This isn't unique to Ahmadis. I mean you've declared us Kafir right, so let us practise our religion. This is our religion.

Close the printing presses etc won't work anyway. You know a lot of us speak and understand Arabic right? We can teach our kids our beliefs orally. Then what will you do? Take away our kids so they can be brainwashed into your beliefs? But then you guys will probably fight each other on which sect gets to brainwash them..
