What's new

A Shudra defeated the Mughals and the British in 18th century

Were Maurya/Nanda Punjabis, Sindhi, Baloch or Pashtuans? If not than they were Invaders and invasions are always bloody, all Invaders slaughtered and looted the people they occupied maybe "Indians" got special treatment.

were these divisions existed back then???around 300 bc??could you tell me if porus was one of these or not??yet,he was a king of some parts of Pakistani Punjab.

Yeah those divisions were there otherwise empires covering all the sub-continents wouldn't have been tiny part of history, Infect more you go into past, more the division will become clear.

LOL!!! Now you even doubt that that Porus was not Punjabi?

actually, you're wrong.lets take the word "Pashtun"..it came around first century BC when these Kings weren't around.Same goes for word "Sindhi" as Sindhi Language were no where close to that time, which came around 1000 AD and got its popularity around 1400 AD.its predecessors was Vrachada, which was still at larged around 8 Ad as Al-Biruni reported it.same goes for Balochi as the Balochi people itself came to live in Northern Iran during 5 AD.don't delude yourself and twist the fact what suits your logic.

First Islamic Ruler that came in this region was Muhammad Bin Kasim, who defeated King Dahir,a Hindu Ruler.he was the first who brought Islam and Islamic influence in this region.before that, there was no existence of it.you should review the history.all these lands upto Afghanistan was ruled by Hindu Kingdoms whose origin you can't distinguish from one another.

and about Porus,he was a Hindu Ruler who ruled somewhere between Khyber pakhtunkhwa and modern day Pakistani Punjab.

1. Just correct your fact that first Mosque in Indian sub-continent was built in life of Prophet Muhammad and it's located in today's India, So - Qasim was not the first Muslim who brought Islam into sub-continent, though his conquest has major contribution in spreading of Islam.

2. You can very well distinguish people in recorded history but if you want to go in ancient times than life originated in Africa. period

and about Porus,he was a Hindu Ruler who ruled somewhere between Khyber pakhtunkhwa and modern day Pakistani Punjab.
Hindu, Sikh, Budha or whatever he belonged to Punjab and Punjabi people are/were different from south Indian be it language or culture unless you float your theory that he came from Tamil Nadu and started ruling areas of Punjab.

I posted against what you've posted.not those divisions existed at that time, and I proved it.

I meant in modern day Pakistani region.I'm not posting anything that has to do with modern day India.Islam came to India through Malabar.that has nothing to do with modern day Pakistan as distance between Malabar and modern day karachi is almost same as distance between Kerala and Pakistan. :undecided:

Hindu, Sikh, Budha or whatever he belonged to Punjab and Punjabi people are/were different from south Indian be it language or culture unless you float your theory that he came from Tamil Nadu and started ruling areas of Punjab.

there are virtually no difference between man of punjab with man of north India at that time.unless you're saying that Mauryan empire came from south.

You proved it? when? I think you should read little bit about Indus Valley and Ganges civilizations, Indo-Aryan and Dravidian languages than come again to prove that divisions didn't existed.

I thought you were talking about sub-continent as no division existed in old times and you have proved it :undecided:

I think origin of Mauryan empire is north east who are different people then from even north-west Indian let alone Pakistan.

well with deu respect jana ji we all indians as a nation dont differnciate or discriminate in giving equal opportunities to growth and self progress if a person is able and competent enough on basis of relegeon , caste or language and thats why despite india having thousands of languages , religeons, castes is still one and all indians feel proud about being indians and have faith in owr goverment while the same cant be said about land of the pure not even remotelly..think about it
Yes thats why their are more then 100 insurgencies going on in india and thats the same reason more then half of india is fighting to get freedom from the biggest democracy of world

1.On topic the Marathas are not Shudras. Mahadji Shinde was not a Shudra. He was the bastard son of Ranoji Scindia through a Rajput woman named Chima Bai.Ranoji was the founder of the Gwalior Maratha dynasty which survives till today.Currently Jyotiraditya Madhav Rao Scindia is considered the Maharaja of Gwalior & Ujjain.

2. The Marathas do not have cast division calling themselves Maratha Hindus only. There is a small strain of Brahmin Marathas who exclusively perform religious functions. The lowest class in the Maratha society are Maratha Mahars who used to be manufacturers of weapons, and also worked for disposal/cremation of dead bodies. The Mahars are an aggressive lot, and have their own Mahar Regt.

You are confused. Are you talking about the caste Maratha or Marathas as the residents of Maharashtra? The caste Maratha (consisting of 96 main families) is not a Shudra but Kshatriya (inferior only to Brahmins). There are no subcastes in 96 K Maratha caste. The term brahman Maratha is contradictory.
In later days, the term Maratha is also used for people who fought for the Maratha empire, whatever their caste. But Mahadji Shinde is considered a Maratha because any child born to a Maratha father is considered Maratha by caste. About the Holkars, I'm not sure.

read my post again.the division(sindhi, pashtun etc) didn't even existed that you want to use to distinguish who was local ruler and who was an invader.

I thought you were talking about sub-continent as no division existed in old times and you have proved it :undecided:

not sub continent....modern day pakistani regions...

I think origin of Mauryan empire is north east who are different people then from even north-west Indian let alone Pakistan.

Mauryan Empire was Central mainly a Centra Indian Empire that had expanded in both direction.it had Pataliputra as its capital,as it was most prosperous back then.so,certainly not North Eastern.nor Nanda Empire was a East Indian, cause their empire was stretched upto modern day pakistan.Mauryan just picked up from there.

almost entire India(not today's geography) covered..that whole region, plus take rest of kashmir and far eastern region, whole area was called India back then and ruled by various Indian Rulers.only in 7th century, the trend inverted.and yeah,Hun Invasion was in between.but they simply dissolved into Indian population.
Yes thats why their are more then 100 insurgencies going on in india and thats the same reason more then half of india is fighting to get freedom from the biggest democracy of world

post list of 100 insurgencies..we'll prove that many insurgencies never existed in India.nor most of these insurgencues are aimed for freedom.some wants for different state, some wants to remove politicians while sum for little more degree of freedom.some wants to dissolve few states to create another state while some wants to get portion of 2 or more states to create another new state.typical trolls..

Muryan empire originated from east of sub-continent not center, first correct your basics and it lasted 100 years max after reaching peak

Yes, that's what I have been saying.Mahadji was not a Shudra. He was not even a Mahar. He was a Maratha.

Pakode wali sarkar aap ki moti baat hamari choty dimagh mein nahi ayi...

indians also love to live with fantasy. if you dont believe me then better u start watching your media channels .
I dont watch them and looks like u do,it is clear who is out of touch.
I don't know how much of this "history" has been forged by Hindus to cater their delusional fantasies..

Indians, usually the South ones, believe white people to be of a higher caste, while south Indians are black. These black South Indians claim to be descendents of (white) Aryans, thus making them of a higher caste according to them, but at the same time, these black South Indians dream of the day when they would some how enslave white people and make them clean their poop.

These South Indians contradict themselves. It just shows how much they hate themselves really, and are delusional.

I am a dark south Indian and i have pakistanis selling me investment products and my ilk has more noble laureates than pakistan ll ever get in its existence.

and btw i am a brahmin too and i dont know about caste but if someone with thoughts like u show up,i ll certainly treat you as an untouchable or worse.

You proved it? when? I think you should read little bit about Indus Valley and Ganges civilizations, Indo-Aryan and Dravidian languages than come again to prove that divisions didn't existed.

I thought you were talking about sub-continent as no division existed in old times and you have proved it :undecided:

I think origin of Mauryan empire is north east who are different people then from even north-west Indian let alone Pakistan.[/quote]

Mauryans are from Bihar which is North Central India and unlike now, they are not too far from North Western India in anyway.

@Darth Vader

you should give the link too....

http://www.satp.org/satporgtp/countries/india/terroristoutfits/index.html

most of these groups are categorized as extremist organisations and not insurgents.hell, most of Indians never heard of these groups and activities.nor most of these are banned.see, even Satp doesn't know details of most of these groups as these groups simply jumped up in new name and within few years, vanish.nor do they fighting for secession or freedom.lets view the
United Bengali Liberation Front

which tried to protect bengalis from other terrorist groups and banned for extremist activity by state govt and not Indian govt.most of these groups belong to this category.

Peace to you too.

I am at a loss to understand your point. I am not disputing Indian history, the geographical land that makes south Asia is of course a permanent fixture and people have lived, moved, conquered that land. Many people from the Greeks to the British have done that. The point I was making was that you were offended by the word Shudra but it is your word. The descriptions applied to this ruler is one applied by the Indians themselves not by OP. He did not wake up and made a word and used it this in this context. Your offence is that someone used this word and hence you decided to become as offensive as possible by your racist and degrading comments about PK.

Thus I was merely pointing out some facts back to you, and no matter how much you say that we had an awakening, the ground realities of India is one that you continue to deny, whether because you are deluded or you are just lying to try to suppress the reality that India is not some super-power it is not some shiny Tiger economy in the mould of China or Singapore and that, there are so many issues and problems that it is baffling to the rest of us.

You continue to harp on about land reforms but in India thousands are commitiing suicide due to the same issues and much worse because of the pernicious and inhumane caste system that is alive and well and growing.

No hard feelings too. Live in Peace Bro.

There are more pathans driving cabs in Dubai because they dont have money to bribe and get a chowkidar job, true story this.
