I hope everyone can appreciate the irony here. The man insists that Chinese members from HK, Canada, United States, Singapore, and the UK, that only he really understand press freedom and democracy, and that we should keep our brainwashed mouthes shut until we learn the meaning of freedom of speech.

The man understands.

The 'man' (as you so quaintly state) tell you to read the link and then comment.

It does not matter if the Chinese are brainwashed or not. That is not the issue,

The issue is 'gagging' the people from free speech, be it Mainland China or HK.

The link (from Hong Kong) states how the HK Govt ordered a gag!!

Chinese from outside China and HK are subject to the environment of that country and if it is not Communist, then there is freedom of speech and thought, be the man Chinese or a Mongolese or a Japanese.

BTW, have you read the Chinese Govt direction on Etiquettes that the Chinese must Acquire? It states that one must be polite in speech and not spit around apart from other good things. Please listen to the Govt of your origin in case you have not learnt being polite as per western customs.

This 'man' understands English and the link is very straight and categorical which anyone who understand and can read English alphabets and hence words and has a little idea of English Grammar, would understand what the link indicates and how much of media freedom is there in HK.'

I hope you have understood the hand that I dealt, Cardsharp.

Your call.

Oh my, personal insults and completely off-topic. I must have gotten to you.

Not personal attack.

But I do take umbrage to be called "The man".

It show lack of decorum and a total disdain for gentlemanly behaviour.

One talks in such a manner to those who are inferior in class in a feudal society like the UK.

Neither do I enjoy being hectored on freedom from a person from China (or Chinese origin claiming to talk on behalf of all Chinese ) residing in a free country.

If you understood democracy and totalitarianism you would not comment that way in a superior tone as if living in Canada gives you some extra vision. One would be tempted to recall the adage "Crow in Peacock's Feather".

Since you were most impolite, I drew your attention to the Chinese Govt's direction on Etiquettes that the Chinese Must Learn. I presume the Chinese Govt would be the best source which understand the Chinese best.

If anyone else drew your attention to lack of decency, you would have claimed it was racist. if one goes by the attitude you displayed in the post in question.

Read the link I gave to Cardsharp.

They are free so long as it is not against the CCP.

then again wouldn't that be a independent bodys rating which still places honk kong on second place? even india is placed badly.
"The Press Freedom Index is an annual ranking of countries compiled and published by Reporters Without Borders based upon the organization ' s assessment of their press freedom records.
The report is based on a questionnaire [ 1 ] sent to partner organizations of Reporters Without Borders ( 14 freedom of expression groups in five continents ) and its 130 correspondents around the world , as well as to journalists , researchers , jurists and human rights activists.

What a joke right? It is just typical stereotyping.

For the record, Hong Kong ranks higher on the Press Freedom Index than countries like France, Italy, Spain, etc.

And obviously FAR higher than India, which ranks 122 on the list.

Please don't follow the quotes of white men blindly - think for yourselves for a change - you are capable enough to do it - just give it a shot.

Your entire country was based on white men giving you freedom and a government.

No one from Princeton would make the thinly veiled racist statements you do. The best you got was a crappy Indian education.

Chinese education focuses on academics and nothing else.

Once again, if you had a decent education you would realize that Princeton - infact - no American university churns out similar products like a factory - a university in America is not the same as a Nike sweat shop in China.

You are not from Princeton. Period.

LOL he tried and failed. :D

But then again, he was previously banned for saying that "Chinese people are cannibals".

So what else do you expect...

What a blatant lie but I guess when you are a product of a system which thrives on misdirection and wrong interpretation, I mustn't hold you accountable for your actions.
