Pakistan cruise missiles dont fly at altitude of 10 meter. Most cruise missiles have minimal flight height of 100+ meter to avoid hitting any structure.

Lol,your country doesn't have any medium/long range modern 3rd generation SAM at its disposal as of now.At the most your armed forces have some 2nd generation VSHORAD systems like Stinger and Anza-I/II but they don't classify as SAMs.The best thing that you have in your arsenal is the Spada-2000 Sam which is a short range one like Aakash and that too in a limited quantity (only 10 batteries)unlike Aakash which are being mass produced as of now with over 3000 missiles in order!!

Now the Indo-Israeli Barak 8 missile has been succesfully test fired. It is regarded as the naval Iron dome by the experts. it is k own worldwide how succesful the iron dome system has been in intercepting and destroying in mid air the rockets fired by the palestinian terrorists. Barak 8 has been designed to defeat the most advanced and fastest cruise missile of the world i.e. the Brahmos. Kolkata is supposed to feature both these missiles that means both, the poison and the antedote.

So can it or platforms based on this missile be used to shoot down incoming enemy nuclear missiles too? Unlike India, pakistan does not have capability to launch nukes from undersea. so if we perfect the technology to shoot down the incoming enemy missiles in mid air then pakistani nuclear missiles wont count for s**t. they may or may not hit us with atomic bomb but we certainly will with our K 15s and K 4.

Do you understand the concept of "terrain hugging" and why some cruise missiles are designed to fly at extremely low altitudes and what advantage it has for the missile?

Do you understand the concept of Radars ? The concept of AWACS and Aerostat radars ?

The lowest pakistani cruise missile can fly is 100 meters. Even with that heigh, line of sight is 36 KM. A Ground based Radar can pick up an object at 15% beyond the geometrical horizon. that means 41 KM.

That provides Ample time for Akash Missile since it has a Response time of 10 milliseconds.

A pakistani cruise missile travelling at even 0.8 Mach can cover only 270 meters in 1 second


So by the time the missile is detected by Akash Missile system and an Akash is flying towards it, the missile will not even cover 1 km of the 41 km distance separating them.


Now for all practical matters a Pakistani missile will never travel so low to the ground to avoid the danger of hitting targets in pakistan itself, its probably heigh will be 300 meters. Now do the Math yourself if you can. Not the Madrasas math you are used too, but real simple mathematics.

Even Tungushka can take down cruise missiles, depending on how the target manuevers. Second Barask is designed for sea skimming missiles, it can take on a RAAD type of missile.
