I was wondering how the aircrafts like sukhois and other large millitary aircrafts are trasferred to us or any other nation far away from point of origin ! for example SU-30 from russia; do they fly here? and how can they do that if they are not allowed in nations in between because of their millitary nature ! or they are transferred via cargo ships ? somebody must know i guess !

.
I have often wondered the same thing............:agree:

.
^^ they use IL 76 for transporting them i think

BTW mig 35 flew to India for a airshow in India directly (100% sure)

and Pak Fa was brought to MAKS 2011 by IL 76 i guess

. .
SU-30s flown all the way to participate in London excercise

.
two Mirage-2k has flown all the way to France for upgrade.

.
if mig 35 flew here then how? it could not come over china, and not over pak, afganistan !
they have to take advantage of friendly air space and also need refueling !

.
you all are wrong

I don't know about India, but the aircraft bought by Pakistan Air Force were all flown home by PAF pilots. Be the first delivery of Mirage back in 70s or F-16 Block 52+, the PAF pilots flew it all the way from other corner of world. The delivery of F-16s in 2010/2012 had a escort of KC-135 aerial refueler.

It varies from system to system and nation to nation. The MKIs initially were flown to India in knock-down form in AN-124s and assembled by HAL. This is similar to how many air craft are transferred to India ie Mig-29K/KUB and Mil-17-V5s etc. However later on many contracts (especially the larger orders) stipulate production in India such as the MKI and MMRCA and in these cases HAL gradually builds up its industrial capacity from assembling knock-down kits to churning out fully indigenously sourced materials for full scale production. However in some cases the air craft are so large (ie transports and AWACS) so they are flown to India ie C-130J-30 and PHALCON and later the C-17s and P-8Is. These are flown over in existing commercial flight paths so no problems there.

Hope this helps.

some fighters are flown here directly (ferried over Iran , they give permission)
as for the c130 and P8 i believe ,they will be flown here .

i remember in the 80s they used to come in KDK(knocked down kits )
or SKDK(semi knocked down kits) we did not have the influence we have now a days , to get permission to have them overfly friendly countries.

They might come directly .
They might be knocked down and reassembled again , transported in Ships .
Transported by heavy planes .
