A New Pipeline Could Undo America’s Influence In Asia

OBOR could serve American interests too. We shouldn't under-estimate them, the Americans are shrewd businessmen. Right now Chinese companies are shifting manufacturing to Vietnam, Bangladesh and exporting their products from those countries to the USA to avoid tarrifs and take advantage of cheaper labour. They will be doing that in Pakistan too.

Pakistan has an FTA with China. Why can't American companies manufacture in Pakistan and take advantage of the FTA to get goods into China at cheaper rates? We could become a trade corridor if we play our cards right.

The Iran aspect is trickier, because America put Israeli interests ahead of it's own. However the pipelines are happening, rather than isolating themselves from opportunity in the region, the US should just only pay lip service objections and just let it be. Iran is also a massive market for America, you win more influence with dollars than with bombs. Iphones can buy loyalty more than any Shah or western backed dicator could.

This is bad news for the Americans. It now makes sense why the Americans reacted the way they did. American interests are at stake.

America is being sidelined by major powers of the region. America has no future in our region.

LOL it now also makes sense why that bitch Alice Wells hurried to send in 15 US companies to Pakistan. The Americans are feeling the heat folks. They are in panick mode.
hawkish behaviour of usa put them in decline .

I dont believe Pakistan sponsored ISIS at all, but we know OBL died close to a Pakistani military complex in Abottabad. nuff said.
Yes exactly ... Saddam Hussain was suddenly located and caught when US elections were at the doorstep.
OBL was killed in Pakistan when US elections were at doorstep.
So now Al-Baghdadi also killed.

All I see here is Pakistan attempting to have constructive economic relations with its resourceful neighbors such as Iran and China much like US have with Canada and Mexico. Pakistan have energy requirements and has to cut down its imports to fix its dysfunctional economy.

In no way or form, these developments threaten American interests. As if US is not known to choke supply lines or ravage a country if it actively try to undermine US?

Pakistan have welcomed US-sponsored TAPI as well but for this project to materialize, US and Afghan Taliban have to reach an accord and the latter group have repeatedly expressed its willingness to reach an understanding with US.

Iran also want to work with US; JCPOA wasn't meaningless which Trump administration scrapped, thanks to the idiot John Bolton who was eventually booted from establishment.

Americans need to get their heads straight; they can be so irritating at times.

American interests are GLOBAL. This article is one of those scare-mongering pieces.

Pakistan need to fix its dysfunctional economy. Towards this end, certain steps are necessary. Refer to my view above.

Since population size is increasing, it will CREATE more demand, and new arrangements to ensure supply are increasingly important accordingly.

In no way or form WE are working against American interests or have a wish to start a conflict which WE cannot win. However, enough with being a poodle of any foreign entity. Pakistan is finally doing what it should have done long ago; fixing a dysfunctional economy first and foremost. US can choose to offer whatever it can to Pakistan for the betterment of people of both countries. Otherwise, US can STFU.

TAPI project is expected to move forward: https://tribune.com.pk/story/2101897/2-pakistan-renegotiate-gas-price-tapi-co/?amp=1

Talks between US and Afghan Taliban have also restarted. Coincidence? TAPI is talking...

I agree.

Hm....from a Pakistani perspective you are completely correct, but if Iran starts getting serious income from gas sales, cant you see how US govt will see that as threatening to US interests? i mean, even a asanctioned Iran is still a problem for US then imagine a better financed Iran? wow, US is afraid of that because US feels it will lose control of ME once and for all to Iran. And they are probably right.

Yes, this is not fair. Its dictatorial....while US is preaching "democracy" everywhere.

Ok. Also, i believe its very wrong for US to tell Pakistan where to source energy from(vis-a-vis US telling Pakistan to get gas from Turkmenistan), thats imo a violation of sovereignty.

Iran also want to work with US; JCPOA wasn't meaningless which Trump administration scrapped, thanks to the idiot John Bolton who was eventually booted from establishment.
True.

Americans need to get their heads straight; they can be so irritating at times.
Hegemonic and violent is how i would word it. i am not anti-anybody, i am only pro-truth and facts. At the end of the day, i have never seen a WHITE COUNTRY as violent as America.

Global Hegemonic.

Yes it does, and i hope we have put to bed the question of whether Pakistan NEEDS Iranian gas. IT DOES.

Didn't Trump said that Obama is the founder of ISIS ?
Well, thats another idiotic comment by Trump. IF "Obama" founded ISIS, and OBama = US govt(because he didnt do it alone), then Trump has indirectly inferred that the US govt founded ISIS. I dunno if the right word is founded, but yes, i agree the US govt has at least indirectly supported ISIS. i'm ready to bet $$ on it. US govt didnt give ISIS $1 directly, but Turkey, GCC were providing it, and US must have turned a blind eye.

but when Baghdadi was killed there was no election in America ? Not that I know off any ?
but the timing of his killing was very close to when US troops withdrew from northern syria + TUrkey's incursion into northern Syria. Then TUrkey started going after Baghdadi's family members, so i feel US and TUrkey had some last minute "difference of opinions" on ISIS and Baghdadi at that time.

EVen today, Turkey isnt giving EU countries reelvant info on ex-ISIS members' membership to ISIS that are returning to EU so courts convict them of terrorism. These countries are ALL PLAYING GAMES.

Leaders sometimes say things which they don't know off , I just post it as a example that if IK said something doesn't make it As Authentic as Quran, that it cannot be wrong or corrected .

Baghdadi was a piece of Shit, I don't care who killed him how they did it , and for once I don't care what they did with his body , I am glad that scum is dead and his ISIS is getting pounded from all sides .
As for Turkey ,US , and EU and whatever , everyone is just trying to look after their interest . Simple as that
