AGAIN MULTIPLE EXPLOSIONS IN KARACHI AND QUETTA
QUETTA: At least four people were injured when suspected militants lobbed a hand grenade at an election office of Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) in Sibi area of Balochistan on Saturday, police said.A police official, who requested not to be named since he was not authorised to speak to the media, told Dawn.com that two militants riding on a motorcycle lobbed a hand grenade in Jinnah road area of Sibi.He said four persons were injured in the attack, adding that the blast also damaged the election office of JI candidate for PB-21, Mumtaz Nazar Abro.The militants escaped from the spot unhurt.At least 10 people were killed and over 50 others injured when a bomb blast hit the election meeting of Awami National Party (ANP) candidate Bashir Jan in Karachi on Friday.The spike in violence targeting political parties has raised concerns for law and order as the May 11 general elections draw closer.
