Well, the good news as far as we are concerned is that good men and women stand between those barbarians and their ambitions. As long as we have the Indian armed forces, we have nothing to worry - their caliphate will not extend into India. They can declare themselves the emperor of the galaxy or the universe, but as long as we have our armed forces and a sane civil society, we will remain a sovereign republic where all are equal and religion is a private affair, and mad gunmen don't control people's destinies.

I can't say the same for countries who's military abandons them (as happened in Mosul), or countries where a big percentage of the population believes in medeival concepts like caliphates and theocracies.

It is my belief that our country will do just fine. I can't really prove that, it is my gut feeling. A few loonies may be tempted to join that ludicrous cause, but by and large our population will remain immune to religio-imperialistic delusions.
