A 2015 warning to Pakistan and Turkey by UAE taking shape in 2017.

How about Pakistan stays home and let Saudis kill Muslim.

Hi,

Innocence---innocence---innocence---.

An average pakistani has no concept of nationalism---. It is not one muslim killing another muslim---.

It is one ethnic group of a certian religious belief---incited by another religious group of a similar belief creating instability in the region by following the lead of a terrorist nation---.

He is not innocent, he is a sectarian troll. You must have figured out where his loyalties lie.

How about Pakistan stays home and let Saudis kill Muslim.

Yemeni rebels have hit Riyadh with a Ballistic missile now UAE should ask it's good friend India to help because Pakistan is paying the price of not coming to war!

Not reported by any neutral media, only pro-iran media.

Hi,

So---let us assume that Pakistan ended up sending 200000 troops to GCC.

The GCO is a pakistani---simply and purely in charge of the operation---.

The arabs are happy that their brethren are supporting them---and consider the life and security of the GCC as important as the life and security of pakistan and pakistanis---.

S---then who would have more influence in the gulf region---pakistan or india---.

If inida made a slight move to influence iran---all the indian expats could have been facing one way flights home.

Secondly or thirdly---if Iran brought up forces and struck pakistan---india would not indulge---because the world would want to see Iran being neutered once for all---and anyone interfering would feel the wrath of the world upon them---regardless of their size and mass---and if India dared on that option---the GCC would kick all the indians out of GCC---.

Just read about 1300 airstrikes by PAF on your own territory which has been volatile for quiet some time- I doubt PAF have every done such massive bombing even during wars with India- It shows how massive the operation may have been-

Such air strikes leave lots of angry locals- It destroys life, property, lively hood and employment- to deal with such anger lots of ground troops are needed- Not only to maintain law and order but for rehabilitation, confidence building measure and putting the economy of the place back on track-

If all this was not enough- the state police have been highly incompetent and and even gangsters like Chotu has them running for their lives and military has to be called in- similarly para-paramilitaries are running operations in Karachi for law and order issue- then you have Balochistan insurgency-

Adding to added responsibility of waging war against India in Kashmir and in the process provoking Indian war machine into emergency war preparedness where they end up buying 3 billion $ ammunition in just three months-

Does all of this leave enough options to send 200K troops to fight in some foreign land- Do you understand the logistics involved in moving so many soldiers, the supplies and maintaining them for such prolonged period- Apart from USA I seriously doubt any country in this world can send 200K troops to fight overseas- And even somehow you managed to send them- another front on Iranian border would open-

Hi,

Some of those troops would be from current and some from new recruitment---and they will be either permanently stationed in GCC or on rotation basis---and permanent means for life---.

The GCC alrteady knows what is coming in the future---so the troops won't be for 5 or 10 years period---.

They will become a part and parcel of the protection force on permanent deployment in the region---.

And if need be---the U S will off course help in moving the troops---because it benefits them and their allies in the region to have stability---.

Along with strikes---a peaceful solution to the problem will also be the top agenda---the greviences will be considered and addressed as a top priority along with the rule of law and order---.

So Sir ; in your opinion why did PA REFUSE to join the Yemen War

Surely the GCC must have sent a Post dated Cheque along with their Request

May be it was Not Big enough

If GCC has to spend money ANYWAY ; it can get US AF ; Marines
Blackwater etc; etc for doing their job

Your post is somewhat wishful thinking- you expect everything to better than what you expect the best possible scenario-

The Generals have to evaluate the pros and cons before sending troops- Every one knows what happened when wishful thinking dominated over facts and logic when Musharraf decided to send troops on Kargil- Although Pakistan was placed far better strategically then with friendly Taliban Govt- in Afghanistan and peaceful Pakistan overall-

Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and de facto defence chief, said Zardari was "dirty but not dangerous" and that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was "dangerous but not dirty -- this is Pakistan".

Most fascinating ..

India and UAE support Baloch insurgency

DG ISI General Shuja Pasha commented that India, the UAE, and Russia were funding, arming, and training the Baloch rebels

Why is this thread still going on??

The decision to not get involved was made by the "state" not two bit politicians.

Otherwise if it was up to the politicians then with Nawaz owing his life to the Saudis and Zardari being based in Dubai for the last many years....the royals could have easily twisted their arms to get the decision in their favour.

All the corrupt political elite of Pakistan have their businesses in the Emirates.

1) You are quoting wiki.

2) Gen Shuja Pasha, has a very close relationship with the UAE. One you cannot fathom.
