There is a reason that NATO keeps attacking Pakistan Afghanistan's border areas as these are the places from where Taliban gets its ammunition. Al qaeda, Taliban leadership all died in these areas or deep in Pakistan. Once border is secured then only rest of Afghanistan will be peaceful.

My dad fought the second world war with the then British Indian army and when we got independence he was given an option to either join Pakistani or Indian army, naturally he went for the Pakistani army.

It is well documented by the British historians Muslims of the Indian subcontinent mainly from Bengal, Punjab, Balochestan and KPK were the backbone of the British Indias Muslim army that fought in both world wars. Other communities such as the Nepali Gurkhas and Sikhs are also highly praised.
