9 Confirm Corona Virus Cases in Karachi in a Single Day

'Single day' phrase is wrong. Test results of these people probably concluded today. Might be affected in the last 15 days or so. I was watching a program yesterday where some analysts believe that Pakistan will end up with 200 + corona patients at maximum. Number won't go more than 200-250.

I say that analyst is a moron. Numbers of infected could already be in hundreds it will take time to spread and suddenly news outlets will start buzzing and no place in hospitals or any place to quarantine people.

His ministers...Where did 18th Amendment go? Usually Sindh always goes my choice for xyz, why or how did Balochistani CM not raise his 18th Amendment slogan?

2ndly what does the news reporter mean 60% had #COVID19 infection? Who screened this or is this speculations? There is no solid details just a journalist like everyother uttering BS like every other...

This def is a problem, but when did these people come in? Recently, 2 weeks ago? yesterday? No solid information just a whistle blower with limited information to cause unnecessary panic and anger!

Read this moron's Tweeter account, he seems to be doing nothing but shitting about IK, PTI, Pak govt. : No solid information, no details...nothing just ranting like many of ours with stomach problems!
You know full well Iran's idiot mullahs and Khan's lackadaisical approach to screening of the Iranian returnees are jointly responsible for this. It's a mess within a debacle wrapped in a cock up.

Perhaps it was inevitable sooner or later though to be honest - that's the only mitigating factor.

Pakistan can't isolate and lock down entire cities or mobilise its citizens like China can. We may as well brace for the worst and hope the hot weather brings a slow down.

Coronavirus: Toll rise to six in Pakistan as Iran-returned man tested positive

Earlier, Prime Minister’s Special Assistant for Health Dr Zafar Mirza said that one case of Corona virus has been reported in Sindh while the other has been reported in the federal capital.

Coronavirus
It is to be noted that an ongoing outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, started in December 2019.

It was first identified in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei, China.[5][6] As of 26 February 2020, 81,278 cases have been confirmed, including in all provinces of China and more than forty other countries.

There have been 2,770 deaths attributable to the disease, including 55 outside mainland China, surpassing that of the 2003 SARS outbreak.

However, more than 30,000 people have since recovered.

South Asian countries in general have a fairly high number of infected people but the reason European or South East Asian countries are reporting higher numbers is because they are doing a great job in checking for the virus, and following up by testing large groups for the virus.

That is why they found this outbreak and reported a large number of infected people. Once India, Pak, B'desh etc setup full fledged testing facilities and screen people in numbers, I'm sure we'd be reporting a lot more

What do we currently see? Outbreaks in Italy and South Korea. The interesting “coincidence” about these outbreaks is that both countries have a high level health care system and a high level of preparedness for such an outbreak.

No we cant,
We cant educate our people coz no one is interested in listening and everyone is god.
We cant contain coz than it becomes sectarian and our joshi pagal get all hyper that you dare to "check" people who are coming back from a HOLY visit?

Well with kachra in your streets and people unaware of proper hygiene or simple manners like cover your mouth when sneezing, I am not sure how true that is!

That's another problem. But every person who is arriving from Iran/Syria, should be tested and a strict travel ban should be applied.

Sadly, our case is so sad I have no words

Then it comes down to sects...People are not ready to admit simple precaution can help save the majority....Selfish societies dont understand basic common sense

No he clearly said that, 80% of the returnees have been tested already with negative results. These new comers are the problem.

Imagine someone tells Iran to tighten their borders and test their pilgrims before releasing them!

Imagine Pakistani authorities wish to SCAN for the safety of the populace!

The reaction alone would yield something worse than the virus! We are held hostage in between China's economic friendship virus and Shia pilgrimage virus...Lets also add the London and Qatar travelers who somehow managed to evade getting scanned!

Actually Iranian Govt is not ready to accommodate them unlike China and were asking us to take the citizens back.

Yes absolutely spot on. Bang on the money. We all know this b.s. that floats in Pakistan - if we dare question the returning pilgrims from Iran (or from Saudi for that matter), all hell will break loose. We have forgotten science and abandoned reason.

That is very sad...I thought they cared about doing for the larger population/ Ummah?

In the USA people in close proximity to the infected also tested positive and the numbers would jump overnight. This pattern of sudden jumps is missing in Pakistan (and the rest South Asia). Which is why never truly trusted the official figures any way.

The inflicted Zeinabiyoun terrorists should have there citizenship revoked and sent back to Syria.
