Syria is a mess right now and I hope the country stays intact and is back on its feet.

West's inclination to fund terrorists to change regimes they dont like must be stopped. I support Russia on this. Russia must undertake ruthless bombing of terrorists of all shades. It should also encourage Assad to open a political dialogue.

There was no doubt resistance and dissent against Assad. But it does not mean outsiders must begin funding terror and make this dissent an opportunity to topple a regime.

actually, in all of bashar al-assad's interviews since 2012, he has been speaking of dialogue with all local legitimate oppositions.

in 2011, the british journalist, morris herman, in one of his short interviews spoke to one such opposition spokesman based in london or visiting london, so there are non-nato-siding opposers.

This is with just 50-60 sorties a day. We will soon be conducting up to 200-300 sorties a day.

Things are going to get very bad for jihadi cannibals and their face fart enthusiast masters.

Yes, like how libya is turned into now by execute Gaddafi?
Again that stupid Libya argument.

The total number of Libyan refugees were estimated at around one million as of June 2011 and most returned after the civil war ended.

As of January 2013, there were 5,252 refugees originating from Libya alongside 59,425 internally displaced persons registered by the UNHCR.[2]

In Syria on the other hand there are 4.1 million refugees + 7.6 million internally displaced.

PanARMENIAN.Net - Syrian troops backed by Russian air strikes have advanced in Aleppo, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Armenia’s Social Democrat Hunchakian Party told reporters Thursday, October 22, Tert.am reports.

“80% of Aleppo is near liberated, with the remaining part to be hopefully freed soon,” Vazgen Mesropyan said.

According to him, the U.S. and European airstrikes were unsuccessful.

“Unable to fight the 1500-member terrorist front, the Syrian army turned to Russia for help. We think Aleppo will thoroughly be liberated in 4-6 months,” Mesropyan noted.

He also said some 7000-8000 Armenian currently live in Aleppo against the over 40.000 Armenians that resided there before the war.

According to him, only some 1000 out of some 10.000 Syrian Armenians have jobs in Armenia.

More than 100 Armenians have been killed in the course of the four-year civil war in Syria, he said, with many more wounded.

Yes that's exactly my point - make Syria the next Libya......

Any decent leader who cannot defend his civil population during a war, deserves the same death penalties as Saddam and Gaddafi. Assad is no better then them....

The only "wise" guy, was the former Tunesian leader who fled the country and hence no fighting occurend there.
