Although there might be some oil taken by the Saudi led coalition (which I don’t believe they did), I think you can take the “76 billion dollar” with a pinch of salt. “Saudi Arabia has set up an oil base in collaboration with the French Total company in the Southern parts of Kharkhir region near the Saudi border province of Najran and is exploiting oil from the wells in the region,” he added.

Yemen proven oil reserves is more that 9 billion barrels which is not that small..I guess there are much more if proper exploration happens...also good chance they have large natural gas reserves all yet to be discovered...

Thank you for you lovely comment about me...here are some simple math:

Saudi total reserve 260 billion
Saudi average production in a year 3.5 billion

No of years before reserve is depleted..70 to 75 years...(are pumping since 1950s )
Yemen reserve proven 9 billion which is 2.5 years of Saudi at current Saudi production..

So Saudi oil running out...Yemeni can give them 2.5 years extension considering yemen has way more undiscovered reserves.
