"Separately in Pakistan, a row broke out in response to the papers after state television channel PTV wrongly claimed that Junaid Safdar, a grandson of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, was among those named in the leak.
State TV alleged that Mr Safdar had five companies registered in his name - a claim also tweeted out by an assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan and by another member of the government. A Twitter account also appeared on Sunday called "PandoraLeaks", containing the claims about Mr Safdar, but the account has no connection to the investigation.
The team of journalists working on the Pandora papers investigation in Pakistan confirmed to the BBC that Junaid Safdar had not been named in the documents."

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Another global scandal same like Panama Papers unfolded as the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) released Pandora Papers (Panama-2) on Sunday.

According to the reports, the Pandora Papers, an investigation uncovering financial secrets held by high-profile individuals across the world, includes the names of more than 700 Pakistanis.

The leaked documents revealed that key politicians including federal cabinet members, opposition party leaders, “have secretly owned an array of companies”.

The names of Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin, Minister for Water Resources Moonis Elahi, Senator Faisal Vawda, Ishaq Dar’s son, PPP’s Sharjeel Memon, the brother of Minister for Industries and Production Khusro Bakhtiar, PTI leader Abdul Aleem Khan, among others, with alleged links to offshore companies, are included in the Pandora Papers.

Axact’s CEO Shoaib Sheikh, Raja Nadir Pervez, Mohammad Ali Tabba, Mir Khalid Adam, some business and banking personalities have also been named in Pandora Papers.

The names of two sons of former air chief Abbas Khattak, of Hassan Latif son-in-law of Lt Gen (retd) Khalid Maqbool, businessman Tariq Saeed Sehgal and wife of Lt Gen (retd) Shafaat Ullah have also been surfaced in the Pandora leaks.

Omer Bakhtyar transferred a $1 million apartment in his mother s name through an offshore company. In 2018, Omar transferred an apartment in his mother s name in the Chelsea area of London. Among the Pakistani personalities, four offshore companies have been named of Shaukat Tarin and his family.

Aleem Khan s one, Sharjeel Memon’s three, Ali Dar s two, Monis Elahi’s two, Faisal Vawda’s one offshore company has emerged.

Faisal Vawda set up an offshore company in 2012 to invest in UK properties, the Pandora Papers show. The leak documents further revealed that the son of former finance adviser to the prime minister Waqar Masood Khan co-owned a company based in the British Virgin Islands.

IK and PTI is still better than PMLN and PPP, regardless of whatever some journos and state department handlers leak. PMLN is the color revolution party and PPP is the party of secession. Supporting any of them over PTI is literally treason. Anyone who wants to depose PTI over this is a literal traitor.

Agree we were super power asian tiger in july 2018.. Then IK comes and destroys evonomy within 14 days..he took 21b$ from arabs and 4b$ from chinese overnight..otherwise our economy was booming with healthy 71b imports and beautiful 24b deficit

Also exports /remitances were going but thats not important growth and inflation numbers were good

Now IK has made life miserable for overseas pakistanis..i was watching this on geo how he has made it tough for american pakistanis

My benchmark - I don't care about corruption. I care about competency but I already know PMLN and PPP are incompetent. We also already know that PMLN's economic plan was the reason Pakistan was dealing with a massive debt crisis after 2018 and that was why PTI was forced to take measures they disagreed with.

But what I care about more than those is LOYALTY TO THE COUNTRY. PMLN and PPP party reps will rub shoulders with literal traitors and dissidents who hate me. Punjabis have been mocked and abused at jalsas in Lahore because PMLN has decided that they value an alliance with smugglers in Balochistan and FATA over the vote of Punjabis. They prefer meeting with Awghans who call my people prostitutes and engage in terrorism against Pakistan. I don't even need to talk about PPP. We already know how much they revile Punjab and Pakistan. Don't care how competent they are (they're not), I'm never voting for them.

Alas! If it was Nawaz Sharif government named in those papers and he was in power, we would have seen Imran Khan begging at courts and screaming on every TV channel for justice. He won his elections based on panama papers, panama panama, it was all Imran Khan could utter from his mouth.

But since it's Imran Khan Zaman park and his corrupt friends in the papers, he has no interest in these papers or justice.
