All politicians failed to provide the basic rights: quality education, safety, electricity, gas, water social welfare etc as per constitution.

But wait whenever it is about elections, chairs, posts, judicial enquiries etc. concerning them they all bark like dogs that constitution should be respected and implemented no matter. They are short of saying even if it means to give up the very existence of Pakistan.

Since, Pakistani is not a welfare state. Surely it is not the job of government to ensure that. Having said that; their duty is to act as catalysts in the process that enables Pakistani nation to provide for themselves.

Just because political class in the country is of mediocre stock, doesn't mean Army (whose job is to protect the nation from EXTERNAL thread) will meddle in internal politics. If he wants to be a leader, he can stand in the election and win and become an ELECTED leader. He simply can't undermine the elected leader no matter what. If he was in US/UK, he probably would have been tried for treason.

The public will take them to task every election cycle. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. And keep on repeating uninterrupted.

The present COAS has not declared Martial Law yet, so he is doing just fine. In fact, he is doing incredibly well.

COAS presence, looks like a photo opportunity to the external world but it boosts the morale of his men who are there and who are deployed elsewhere. I know it personally how much it means to us and I could see the same proud smiles in the eyes of American and British troops eating with their leaders that visit them.

Of course, I agree with all that you have said. My point was only that his safety was assured by a very competent force during this photo op, as it should be, and that it is unfair to call the PM a coward if his security detail asks to use a bullet proof vehicle just to score cheap points, that is all.

The General's leadership and morale boosting activities are indeed important, but never at the price of his security.

The politicians are supposed to serve the people. So basically they are servants of the people and should do all their best to make the common man happy with his life and give him all the rights which should be given to him without him asking for them, and as such the nation goes upwards.

They should not forget that they are servants of the common man who entrusted them all the vast resources of the country by voting them.

Politicians are SERVANTS, if any politician thinks it is a disgrace for him to be a faithful and hard working SERVANT to the common man, he should leave politics.

But unfortunately the above cannot be implemented in Pakistan as politicians are not servants of people but on the contrary the common man is not even equal to the sole of the oldest pair of shoe that a politician has.

With all due respect. When rights have been mentioned in the constitution then whether words of welfare has been used or not it becomes a welfare state. Secondly, constitution says that it is Islamic Republic, which means it is a welfare state. Please refer to the time of Holy Prophet and his successors.

Secondly, it is necessary to go through the oath of armed forces. "Main Pakistan Ka Hami Aur Wafadar Rahoon Ga" this is the first sentence, rest all is after that. This means whenever and from which ever corner Pakistan's existence is threatened, Armed Forces are to react. Those who do not are not discharging their obligations to the oat. Those who sing the song of democracy and constitution should realise that if there is no Pakistan there is no constitution and if there is no constitution there goes the so called dummy democracy.
