When we think of South India, it seems far away. One week is not enough to visit India. I believe you need like 2 or 3 weeks to see India but I doubt even that will be enough.

Government buses are available from Coimbatore New busstand...every 1 hour...89 km from Coimbatore...
ooty is only around 20 km from coonoor..

Ooty is 19 km from Coonoor. You can either go by road or toy train. I suggest the latter!
