53 peacekeepers killed in Somalia offensive

.
African lives are cheap, 53 killed and not in news headlines. If 10 American or Nato killeds would be on front page, as in black hawk down. World media (Western Media) is one sided. Those poor souls should be respected and RIP.
Say what? The Associated Press, the Independent, NPR, CBC, and the Guardian has it. A brief online search and I can find it in smaller newspapers.

Why not China? Who here object to the US being the 'world police' let his country send him instead.

:coffee:That is the USA's job, USA govt should send troops to Libya.
Gaddafi's nuclear power plant controlled by USA, Gaddafi saved 30 billion USD deposits in USA, USA obtain about 117000 barrels of oil per day from Libya....

Yes, but that's only if you look for it. See, if it were Europeans or Americans that sh*t would be the front page on every Western newspaper for at least a couple weeks, will be discussed nonstop on the radio and on the news; nothing has be looked for because it will be deliberately shown to you.

Nope...Libya account for less than %1 of US foreign oil import...

WorldCity - Gadhafi's Libya accounts for less than 1% of U.S. oil imports
Libya accounted for 0.63 percent of the $260.1 billion in oil imports in 2010, the lowest percentage since the African nation began importing oil into the United States again in 2004. The $1.6 billion imported from Libya made it the United States' No. 20-ranked import partner for oil. It ranked No. 19 the previous year.

But...

China to Renew Libyan Oil Deal. - Libyaonline.com
China Sinopec Corp is set to renew a crude supply deal with Libya for 2010 to lift close to 6 million barrels of crude each month, trading and refinery sources said, a volume sharply up from early this year.

Sinopec started to raise crude imports from Libya in recent months to 5-6 million barrels a month to make up for supply cuts from key exporters such as Saudi Arabia, as the top Asian refiner opened new refining units this year to meet recovering Chinese fuel demand, said one trader.

The PLA needs the combat experience. Then install a Chinese puppet government to secure a future oil source.

:coffee:I think the USA is more like war, and PLA peace-loving.
China govt is non-interference in internal affairs of other countries. China will buy oil on the market.
Oil prices have risen to 116 USD per barrel. How long can the USA govt tolerance? :azn:

Same prices affected China as well. But regardless of price, what matters most are the sources and for US, Libya is insignificant. For China, it is a different story UNLESS China can secure an alternate source that is more stable. And please spare me the line that China is a 'peace-loving' country. If China is 'peace-loving' it is because China cannot wage war without the US putting the smack-down on the PLA. Else if the Chinese boys' racism here is any indication, China will plunge Asia into another race war like the Yamato did.
