Pardon my intrusion, but couldn't help mention that this is a very dangerous thing to do. You don't simply prescribe one or two drugs, there are well laid down protocols for the same. It is much better to seek a second opinion if unsatisfied instead of self medications in such instances.

Do you really think I did it to show my prowess? Am I a doctor? It was because of the insistence of a patient who is my uncle who was not trusting a Dhaka doctor and a Faridpur doctor. I checked the literature very minutely and I was also taking the same drug.

I asked for forgiveness if something happens. But, his body revived. Sugar level 28 came down to 9 and then he saw another doctor. The new doctor was surprised. My uncle continued treatment from him. The point is many doctors in Bd just skip the descriptions written in the literature with the medicine file. Is it because it will cause them less time on the prayer mat? Bloody superstitious doctors!!

This has been happening for a very long time. Before, it happened to those expected mothers whose husbands are working abroad. The doctors/nurses would say fearful words, such as her own or her child's death unless it is a Cesearian birth. Bangladesh is ruined not by the average working people but by the educated people who are supposed to lead the country.

However, like all other educated people, doctors in BD do not possess human qualities, such as ethics, righteousness or integrity. Their greed would force unnecessary surgery on worried mothers, just for 50,000 Taka. What a corrupted society in Bangladesh, everybody tries to find loopholes to cheat others!!

you may be right about the greed aspect with respect to doctors

you are ignoring the risk management and a lot of other issues

do you perform an operation and extract the baby safely ? Or do you wait for the baby to come out on its own. the doctor does not have the time to sit there and do nothing. it costs money for the patient and her family to be waiting in the hospital for the baby to come out
