Time for a fight will come most definitely, but it is not today. India wants a ludicrous and deperate response from us but we shall not give in to temptation.
Before advancing on IOK one of the following conditions should be fulfilled;
- Has India crossed the LOC yet? No.
- Has the large scale massacre of locals started yet? No.
- Has state-sponsored mob violence against the Muslims been observed yet? No.
In addition, we would need to know if our invasion on behalf of the locals, is what they want at this point in time because right timing is the key that unlocks the path to a decisive victory which is the only outcome we want. We cannot afford half-assed incursions like the past.
Ladakh has been carved out as a Non-Muslim majority Union territory. India can keep it for now. Our immediate focus is now J&K. Conquering the land piece by piece instead of biting more than we could chew. Later, Ladakh can be liberated with the help of the Chinese.
The first order of business of Hindutva's is to fulfil the long-awaited dream of populating J&K with Hindus but they will find it difficult in the beginning because most would need assurance of security and peace which is still elusive. They would have to open the gates and make the transition for the outsider easier. This presents a window of opportunity for our intel assets. The ethnically diverse populace is easier to infiltrate and blend in with.
Secondly, after enough of Hinduwadis settles in, state-sanctioned mob violence against Muslims will certainly commence. Once our insiders give the green light that the locals are ready for the "do or die", only then would be the time to strike.
Right now Pakistan needs to replenish its arsenal along with re-grouping and re-arming the friendly militants whom would be the tip of the spear in the battles to come. For that, the Afghan peace process takes precedence over other matters.
Full agree, though, at the moment, you are a minority opinion, among Pakistani posters, who are rattling their imaginary sabers.
