4 terrorists killed in Peshawar police operation in Mattani raid

The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of police claimed to have foiled a terror bid after killing four suspected militants during a raid in the Mattani area on the outskirts of Peshawar on Tuesday.

CTD officials said that they received a tip-off about some suspected militants hiding out in the Ghaziabad area of Mattani.

Subsequently, officials from the Mattani police, the CTD, and a quick response force cordoned off the area before launching an operation against the suspected militants.

During the raid, four militants were killed while a large cache of arms was recovered from their possession. Two accomplices of the suspected outlaws managed to flee.

Basically these proxies may on occasion manage to plant a IED or shoot a member of the security services

It seems to me like the lessons and strategies Pakistan has learned in the last 10-15 years are in full utilization here. They are taking out terrorists before they regroup and can attack. It's not going to be 100% successful all the time, but it seems like Pakistan is usually a step ahead or 2.

Save for Balochistan of course. A large scale operation is urgently needed there.
