3 terrorist attacks in South Waziristan attack

I would like to see UCAV support for our army on the borders when there is a terror attack. But the thing is, it's better the hunt the terrorists down in their safe haven and neutralise them and their bases there rather than in pakistan. It will have a massive psychological effect on them. Constant ssg raids on their safe havens in Afghanistan will demoralise them. We may even see more surrenders from them.

But I have no idea whats happening though. Top leadership is being quite on this. This could mean 2 things. Ssg is already hunting. Or... Army is getting ready to go hunting once the nato withdrawal date has passed. That being 9/11 right?
I think sending men into Afghanistan is a big risk. Using droves of drones and conducting drone strikes is the way to go.
But we need to start somewhere, otherwise we'll continue losing our troops. We need to put Waziristan/Ex-FATA under constant surveillance. Set up military bases to carry out UCAV/COIN operations out of from, dig our feet in.
Till then, use smaller ScanEagle-esque drones near the border.
We need to frustrate TTP, demolarise them and tire them. Every attack of theirs needs to be retaliated 10-fold. Same goes for BRAS as well.

shows how really bad our top army bureaucrats are 20 years later. We losing men in there poorly constructed bunkers. don’t forget our Toyota pick ups converted in to a cheap mans fighting war vehicle

Send the ssg into Afghanistan to conduct raids and also recon on terrorists bases/hold outs.

Use our airforce to conduct air strike on said bases. Send in our PAA to conduct quick in and out missions to hit terrorists positions. That is more of a psychological effect than physical. As you said more drone and surveillance coverage. Rinse and repeat this process until they have no more fight within them. Although, Islam does tell us that terrorism will not stop nor will be destroyed until the day of qiyama.

Forget the Scan Eagle we have comparable systems to the ScanEagle which are cheaper than it.
e.g Integrated Dynamics produced Rover Mk1 and Desert Hawk and not to forget Satuma's Salaar and Super Salaar.

Bajwa is busy manipulating politics, inviting billawaja ka bhutto to his son's wedding. What does that tells us about priorities.

I agree with that we need to ramp up our surveillance capabilities. I thought you wanted to add something to the conversation.

Okay . Yes. I wanted to add something. Which was avoidance of security state at any cost. Because our (Pakistani) perception of security state is very different from the world. You see safe city projects in other countries which with the help of AI and Face recognition technology help to catch criminals and all. But how we see it is adding more security checkpoints. In a 34 km G.T road stretch between Peshawar and Nowshera, at one point we had 8 check points, currently we have 3. And what technology is used to identify criminals on those checkpoints ? Human extents, Just common sense of those Manning the check point. By saying "surveillance which is obvious is not surveillance" , I meant less of such typical Pakistani measures and more of technological use working behind the scenes. Check points and documented verifications through 20-30 documents for every department is not the correct way of doing it. This increases resilience. In Pashto we say " when he is abused enough, he start fighting"

Somewhere, recently, UCAV have made their successful combat debut.

I agree with what you're saying, we should be using things like CCTVs, aerial surveillance and things like air-drug sensors or vapour tracing for explosives (there are already portable and cheap devices for these things, or could be installed on main roads, or even at the city's entry) Sadly we're wasting precious manpower and time, as well as bringing inconvenience to the common man.
If we spent money on these sensors and drones and an AI backed CCTV system, instead of dumping 40 million in 10 tanks, we'd be in an entirely different scenario right now.
The urban part of Peshawar is a fraction of Karachi's size, we can put these technologies to use there, then move onto scaling them up for other cities as well, especially Quetta and Karachi.
Crime rate in NYC plummeted after introduction of a crime fighting infrastructure, heck in certain areas of LA, it's mandatory for house owners and shopkeepers to have CCTVs pointing to the road and be linked to the nearby police precinct.

We need something with higher altitude and grater endurance, we're talking 10k+ feet and 20+ hours. And be launched via catapult or roof of a vehicle.

Precisely.
