@levina ,
@WAJsal - what do you say especially of the last sec
come on, the activities of these companies have led to farmers and related people suiciding over years and in large scale... surely that constitutes a great crime.
the malpractices are because of wrong political/social/economic factors... obviously, these farmers and related people are not being told to suicide by star formations in the night sky.
1. the farmers must be educated to take loans only for farming needs... for immediate relief, all pending loan payments must be erased for farmers.
2. loans must be made interest-free, the sahukaar system abolished and all private banks nationalized ( state owned )... obviously, this must be effected all over india.
3. weddings must be performed at the courts compulsorily and not the 400-guest ones that is generally the tradition in india for whichever class... this has great impact on farmers.
4. education and medical systems must be made free... again, this must be effected all over india.
5. pilgrimages ( for all communities ) must be removed of subsidies and people encouraged to make pilgrimage a once-in-lifetime thing.
6. farmers be taught to use scientific farming methods, including water-saving systems... obviously, the american-established "green revolution" of india has failed in many ways.

but the future of agriculture is in cities through "urban farming" and vertical farming...
the rural landscape must be completely transformed in the social/political sense by building cities in place of villages... this has especially great implication in greatly improving the social structure of india, removing the wrongness of indian rural life that either continues there or gets transferred to cities when people migrate.
