23 Nations to participate in World’s Largest Maritime Exercise, China 052C and 054A join

A waste of money? I understand you are poor, but there are other poor countries participating. The Philippines, Tonga, etc ... these countries are on your level, no higher, so there's really no excuse. Between this, weaseling out of hosting the Asian games, and having your ODA from Japan cut, the world is really wondering if you have your finances in order :coffee:.
why do you bother that Vietnam participates or not?

You are so ignorant to teach them how to fight your force fairly. The current violence is the result of what your govt started many years ago: killing their innocent people to rob their land and having suppressed them under strict ruling. Now it's a joke that you tell them to be fair in fighting back and do not kill innocent people. There goes a saying you reap what you sowed. I don't support their method, but of course don't side with Chinese govt.
Your ridiculous standards are also evident in Tiananmen massacre. Why didn't your govt fight bare handedly with the demonstrators? Is it its use of guns and tanks to kill those innocent people not terrorist? Those were even your own people.
Having said that, I found your logic pretty dumb. Trying to impose that conclusion falsely on me does not leave you less disgusting.
I repeat to you again, under NO circumstance should you ever stab an innocent civilian, kids and women. It does not matter what kind of grieve you suffer or paint you endure, you DON'T kill innocent people. Do you understand this simple common sense I'm teaching you here? Now what our army did in Xinjiang is rounding up resistant force. They are not innocent civilians. You are no longer an innocent person if you resist a national movement. At Tienanmen square, some students were arm and attacked military personnel. To keep law and order, certain mistakes were made and we recognized that but it is not sufficient enough to accuse the PLA and make connection to killing innocent people. You Vietnamese lacks civilized understanding at what considered as fighting resistance force and killing random people without any purpose but to revenge their kind? Grow some ball and put the gun at our army. After all, didn't you said they "sacrifice themselves", indicating they plan to die anyway. Why not die in bravery fighting our force? LOL

SAN DIEGO – Twenty-three nations, 47 ships, six submarines, more than 200 aircraft and 25,000 personnel will participate in the biennial Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) exercise scheduled June 26 to Aug. 1, in and around the Hawaiian Islands.

The world’s largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity that helps participants foster and sustain the cooperative relationships that are critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world’s oceans. RIMPAC 2014 is the 24th exercise in the series that began in 1971.

Hosted by U.S. Pacific Fleet, RIMPAC 2014 will be led by U.S. Vice Adm. Kenneth Floyd, commander of the U.S. Third Fleet (C3F), who will serve as the Combined Task Force (CTF) Commander. Royal Australian Navy Rear Adm. Simon Cullen will serve as deputy commander of the CTF, and Japan Maritime Self Defense Force Rear Adm. Yasuki Nakahata as the vice commander. Other key leaders of the multinational force will include Rear Adm. Gilles Couturier of the Royal Canadian Navy, who will command the maritime component, Air Commodore Chris Westwood of the Royal Australian Air Force, who will command the air component, and the land component will be led by Marine Corps Maj. Gen. Richard Simcock. RIMPAC 2014 will also include for the first time a special operations component, to be led by U.S. Navy Capt. William Stevens.

Two nations, Brunei and the People’s Republic of China, will participate in RIMPAC for the first time in 2014.

Also for the first time at RIMPAC this year, two hospital ships, USNSMercy and PLA (N) Peace Ark, will participate in the exercise.

The theme of RIMPAC 2014 is “Capable, Adaptive, Partners.” The participating nations and forces will exercise a wide range of capabilities and demonstrate the inherent flexibility of maritime forces. These capabilities range from disaster relief and maritime security operations to sea control and complex warfighting. The relevant, realistic training syllabus includes amphibious operations, gunnery, missile, anti-submarine and air defense exercises as well as counter-piracy, mine clearance operations, explosive ordnance disposal and diving and salvage operations.

This year’s exercise includes forces from Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Colombia, France, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, People’s Republic of China, Peru, the Republic of Korea, the Republic of the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Tonga, the United Kingdom and the United States.

An impressive list of ships. On a personal note, would love to see the USS Gerald R. Ford participate. She's still not fully constructed yet unfortunately.

A good opportunity to train with the best in the business. I expect our sailors & ships to be in tip-top condition. All eyes will be watching.

This is not a "fun game". This is cooperation for peaceful means. Do you understand? If you can send your hospital ship in ASEAN komodo exercise, why can't you send it to participate in RIMPAC? Are you telling the world the hospital ship is intend to fight us? LOL

Well seeing as the Philippines sent just a couple of guys, a ship is a step up....

F-22s will be involved too? I'm so in love :man_in_love:
