What's new

2010 worst year for Pak film industry

but sadly quality sells less to youth of these days
any quality film in india is termed as "award film" or "criticaly acclaimed"
well thats the end of the financial story for that film
quality only cannot hold up a film industry

Sad but its true.

I am more for some ART movies if Pakistan and India can come up with.

I have watched Iranian movies and they are amazingly great.

.
Hindu movies are imposed upon Pakistan by Zardari regime.

We have no choice either to watch them or get ready to be murdered by TTP.

If you are really serious about this stuff, I honestly recommend you consult a shrink.

But the problem lies with the market base for the art movies. Art movies do not make up much of profits till they are not added with masala.

Masala movies are like those where one is not supposed to use his head for greater good of all else we would have never needed IA at all. we would have just kept sunny paaji at one border and bobby paaji at chinese border.

Nothing like Pakistan does not have potential it has given some of the good movies like Ramchand Pakistani and Khuda k liye but the thing is the proper PR and advertising.

Anyways Jana Ji give peace a try enjoy the trailer. I know it has enough masala to be called crap but again as i say try peace for a change

True but in case of Pakistan, it is best if film makers concentrate on social issues and start with art movies rather than to go straight for romantic movies.

As for Bollywood, it has always maintained a standard although i admit that i don't found Bollywood movies as interesting now as they were once. Now Bollywood is much more commercialized.

It has become rather NRI(Non-resident Indian) centric.

I accept that movies which are being made today out of every 100 hardly 1 or 2 are watchable. But the same time when we say commercialization of art cinema is concerned i say that movies like Swades, My name is Khan are the perfect examples where in they show the social issues with a pinch of romance added in the background. This makes the story interesting for all.
