Dunno Sir, if "forgetting" is the right term related to this topic.

It is more like "write-off" that occurs on daily basis in businesses large or small.

You see, we have been stuck with this NAB mentality for too long, with no outcome whatsoever.

The reason why Paks take their money out of the country is they feel that the government baboos will loot it, snatch it like a highway robber.

The day we tell our rich people that they can keep their money and no one will loot it from their hands, believe you me, they won't take it outside the country.

I would rather have people keep even their "illegal" money in Pakistani banks instead of making rich countries even more rich by moving money over there.

I dont think so the bulk of this money has been looted from the coffers of pakistan. Zardari before he raped pak was son of a minor landlord with a cinema in Karachi and now he has several billion in investments. And I have seen with my own eyes transfers made of hundreds of millions us dollars by the shariff clan alonf with the debt defaulters in pakistan. They did not make this money legally.

I don't think so Jana. Because Europeans don't consider this as a criminal activity. They welcome all those who are having big pockets as their banks can fund more businesses with their money and the more inflow of cash is there, the better it is for these countries. Switzerland, Liechtenstein etc are some countries that have ZERO resources of their own. Their natural beauty and their banking industry is what runs their country which is supported by tertiary industries like small scale technological and other corporations.

Hence there will never be a law like this even if we wanted to.

The reason western countries encourage it is as follows. Zardari steals Billions from Pakistan then buys assets like prop in US etc. How can Zardari act against american interests they will nick all his money. example US europe froze gadaffi money and assads relatives in europe.

Never !!! We only need to get the names of the scumbugs responsible ...the main problem is somehow getting the Swiss to disclose the names of Tax-Evaders ,

and going by recent reports ( ref the links posted by me (post 21) and Desioptimist (post 34) ...All European countries are themselves considering a joint action against Switzerland and Leichtenstein like Tax Havens ) . We along with Russia , China , U.K only need to form a consensus for joint action alongside the U.S , to get those " names " out .

After that we can apply pressure on these individuals , ban their various businesses , their personal liberties- jail them if necessary to get the relevant details and thereby get them to return the looted cash to the exchequer.

At least in the subcontinent , some desi-style darana -dhamkana can surely come handy in such circumstances. Like they say - tayri ungli se ghee nikalo

Pakistan should make a formal request to ask Swiss to give list of Bank accounts and sum and name of people - just like many other countries are doing
you can keep funds in Swiss accounts provided you paid taxes on these , and then moved it out of pakistan

because under swiss legislation --- Identities of account holders are not revealed , regardless of nationality of clients , they dont conduct background checks on how wealth came to their posession and do not recognize other countries tax laws .

Such an apolitical and neutral policy is tremendously lucrative for business.

Well, they'd have to prove it came from corrupt sources, but there's more to it than that.

well its simple CHINA,INDIA & UK corruption is a small percentage of the total in paksitan MR.10% has become mr.100% along with his allies and all! so india might have more money in the swiss account but then again it is a bigger country and in percentage terms its small!
