BSF kills 2 along Jhenidah border

Indian Border Security Force gunned down two Bangladeshi cattle traders inside their territory opposite to Jadobpur border in Moheshpur upazila of Jhenidah early today.

The victims are Aminur Rahman, 35, son of Miraj Ali of Lebutala village and Khoyjol Hossain, 40, son of Sahadat Mondol of Jaluli village in the upazila, reports our Jhenidah district correspondent.

Another cattle trader, Abul Kashem, 32, was shot during the incident. Locals rushed him to a Jhenidah hospital after he managed to enter the Bangladesh side.

Police and witnesses said a group of at least 11 cattle traders started for India to bring some cattle.

As they reached Kashipur village area in Uttar-24-Pargana around 4:30am, BSF troops of Jitpur camp opened fire on them.

Three cattle traders were injured in the BSF firing, leaving Aminur and Khoyjol dead on the spot, police said.

The rest of the cattle traders managed to flee.



Two bodies were seen lying inside the Indian territory, said Border Guard Bangladesh Company Commander of Chuadanga camp SM Moniruzzaman in the morning.

A flag meeting will be held between BGB and BSF officials where the former will ask the Indian border guards to hand over the two bodies.

Please enlighten me on this. So according to u the Nawabs were considered Mughals,don't come up with rotten decayed version of History.

I agree. We're treating our friends pretty badly. There's no need to shoot anyone and everyone you see crossing the border. We must have a proportionate response. Death is not an appropriate punishment for cattle smuggling. But we need some help for BSG. We could jointly patrol the border and make sure that there are no illegal border crossings. Finance projects in BD to reduce the incentive to cross the border for employment. I'm sure there's other things we can do, I don't know. I'm just getting a little tired of reading about these border deaths all the time.

The only solution is Bengal and Pakistan be one again.

Yes we can. In a more pragmatic way. A confederation. Both countries will run separately. No soldier or civillian deployment freely (Eg west to east, east to west). BD will get Pakistani Missiles and nukes. Pakistan will get hefty money out of this. BD will get the techs. BD and Pakistan jointly build ships with help from China. Pakistan get more money on space technology and share the techs to BD. BD and Pakistani merchants do business without Tax.

not all Mughal subehdars and nawabs were direct descendants of Babar. since Bengal became part of Mughal empire, the posts were appointed was as per the dictates of the Delhi-based administration and/or the provincial administration.

my advice to you is try revisionism a little less and try to stick to facts which is in your words "decayed version of History"

Pakistanis killed us in 1971 during a civil war and our "friendly neighbour's" border guards kill us everyday even when there's no war, our 'friendly neighbour' tells us whom we should see as friends and whom we should see as enemies, our 'friendly neighbour' tells us what our culture should be, what kind of politics we should allow and what kind of Islam we should practice. After all this, they go on building killer dams over all the international rivers entering BD and finally bringing a KKK type bigots to power.
