19th SAARC Conference in Islamabad 2016-News and Updates

This is diplomacy, trade and economy we're addressing here. Ego's and emotions don't belong here.

No amount of Pakistan's diplomacy is going to change that witch's hate for Pakistan. If ego's and emotions don't belong where diplomacy is, so would diplomacy fail when you are dealing with hate filled lunatic.

Have a look: http://www.dhakachamber.com/Bilateral/Pakistan-Bangladesh Bilateral Trade Statistics.pdf

And how is creating more enemies in the region productive for us?

Obviously we have some kind of formal and informal trade with them. I never denied that.

but again how big and important it is??

Is it so massive that we shouldn't protest against the killing of people who supported their country in a civil war? Should we abandon our people just because we have some kind of trade with this Indian colony??

I genuinely think Pakistan made a huge blunder in trying to interfere in Bangladeshi internal issues.. Those short sighted policies which in fact removed any impact it had on leverage, Pakistan needs to be smarter or it's going to loose diplomatically in the long run to India, Worse part is Bangladeshi judicial process's have no impact on Pakistan strategically nor internally, Pakistan needs to play smart and look beyond religious affinities when it comes to real politik, It's stupid to do otherwise

The region need a strong Pakistan to keep Indian hegemonic amibitions under check

Bro, the current BD government is an ally of India. They will never act as an ally of Pakistan. No amount of goodwill gestures will cut it. What is there for Pakistan to interfere in a country which it doesn't even share a border with? It is better for India and BD not to attend the summit. We won't be attending theirs either.

One question, where in the map can i find Bhutan?

On topic: It's funny how Indians were talking about isolating Pakistan in SAARC last time around. Anyone remember? :azn:
On a serious note, what is expected to be gained from this? is the only reason for the boycott is because Pakistan is hosting the conference. What a cry baby type reason.
Afghanistan and Bangladesh is understandable, what the heck have we done to Bhutan? Or maybe it's an Indian media report. Don't believe Indian media reports.

Some from the West cant even identify Pakistan in map.
Bhtuan is a Sovereign nation and member state of SAARC.

Hegemonic ambitions ?
Only thing that we wont allow is that intereference of some foreigners in our internal matter .
Reacting to that intereference wont make you hegemony.

Well, we import lot of stuff from Bangladesh.

If we want to grow economically, we (need) trade relations with (many) countries. Not just one or two.

As for protesting, we do that if it is really important and our protests can make difference on the ground. Otherwise, say nothing.

The thing is trade is good and all important.

it would continue in the future too in one way or the other. It is happening right now too.

But do tell me how protesting against the judicial murder of Pakistanis who supported Pakistan against foreign aggression amounts to animosity against BD? particularly when those Pakistanis were later also ministers and members of independent BD parliament.

. .
And what the .....ing we getting from these so called SARRAC countries? And what we giving them it's only SL we have to be worry about and .....out all others better ......out form SARRAC.

Bangladesh's PM might be many things but right now Pakistani factories are moving there, their textile imports are gaining ground over ours. They are getting our investments due to the energy crisis. What have Pakistan's PM or trade ministers done to combat that??

Actually its more nuanced than that. @Arsalan can fill you in.

You should read this whole thread for example:

https://defence.pk/threads/half-a-million-jobs-lost-as-textile-crisis-hits-pakistans-economy.450577/
Thank you for tagging me @Nilgiri and for mentioning the thraed.

I suggest you take a look at that thread @Aviator23 as some of the things we have already discussed.

However for an over view:
  1. The Pakistani textile industry moving to Bangladesh is old story. Some of the big groups did setup and extra production capacity in Bangladesh a few years ago but it didn't took them more than 12 to 18 months to come back to Pakistan. Specially the home textiles.
  2. The main attraction was cheap labor but the main problem was that labor not being as skilled as ours. Almost all (As per my info all but i might be missing one or two so i say "almost all") are back in Pakistan. A few international brands also shifted there business to Bangladesh, like Levis, but it was not more than 12 months that they came back and placed the orders with Pakistani companies
  3. The Bangladeshi share gaining in terms on value is because of the products they are working in. Because of cheap labor they are more into labor intensive products like garments and focus on high end fashion industry. That results in increase in value which is really good for Bangladesh.
We will need to bring in new machinery and also start working more on new articles and ideas to increase the value of our products as that will give a massive boost to our exports as well. Volume wise we are still big and there still are articles in which we have no to minimum competition world wide. Not even from China.

.
India media already started to claim that Bangladesh and Afghanistan are not participating. Well I can see the fate of second round of such isolation.

The terrorism in Sri Lanka (Tamils), interfering in Bangladesh and injecting puppet government, interfering & terrorism in Afghanistan, terrorism in Pakistan, in Myanmar that all speaks volume for members to boycott.

Janab Yeh to Apki Juuti Ka Sadka Hai.

We learned this from you. 1947 you give us the classes how to send kabaili disguised as local, and then capture it, we did in 1971. You started giving weapons and supports to the Sikhs to start terrorism in Punjab, we learned it too from you. So what is the big Deal.

@PARIKRAMA would you like to represent India ? Or could you suggest any name ?

No the only person who deserve to represent India in SAARC with Pakistan as venue is @kahonapyarhai

Mere Mamoo, Lag Ja Kaam Par, and give the Speech by Posting Links, and Articles.

But they can recognize an Indian from a mile away. Wonder why? Filth!

Hegemonic ambitions ?

"... intereference of some foreigners in our internal matter ." Which internal matter? J&K is certainly not even if your FM shamelessly lied at UN. Not a single country in world recognizes occupied J&K as part of India. Not even the UN as an organization where she was disgracefully talking lies using the very same platform. Have some shame and stop lying. Kashmir dispute is not an internal matter of Indians.

India, BD, Bhutan, and Afghanistan - a miserable league of poverty stricken filthy nations living in gutters, on footpaths, under bridges, and in slums. SAARC is a dead horse in any case. But where you have so many of these poverty prevailed countries, SAARC is no more than a display stand of poverty. It's time for Pakistan to get out of this dead organization. Better be active in other alliances like heart of Asia, SCO, and China-Russia-Pak economic block.

J&K is our integral part and internal matter. We dont care what others think about it.

I feel sorry for other Indian neighbours too if they dont comply they will be mistreated by this deprived child who is PM of a big country.
hence the saying, fear the day when a masali becomes a Choudhary of the village
he can go as low as possible to avenge all the ridicule and deprivation he & his folks faced at the hands of the villagers

I think some people from Pakistan cant digest the growth of a mere tea vendor to Prime Ministership of world largest democracy.
Those administrate perfectly will always welcome to become Choudhary

Said who ..

According to UN its not ....

How many of them cares what US says?

NEW DELHI: India on Tuesday said its delegation will not travel to Pakistan for the upcoming SAARCc summit. "In the prevailing circumstances, the government of India is unable to participate in the proposed SAARC summit in Islamabad," India's Ministry of External Affairs(MEA) said in a statement.

"We also understand that some other SAARC states have also conveyed their reservation about attending the summit in November 2016," said a statement issued by the spokesman for India's External Affairs Ministry on Twitter.

Islamabad has termed India's decision as "unfortunate".

Pakistan’s Foreign Office said last month that the summit will take place on November 9-10 and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif invited leaders of SAARC member states to grace the summit with their presence.

Narendra Modi was not likely to attend the moot due to situation in occupied Kashmir where his forces have killed over 100 Kashmiri protesters and injured many others.
