19th SAARC Conference in Islamabad 2016-News and Updates

Well stated. Nothing we say to Bangladesh would have made them change their decisions so why interfere?

The US is going to be run by a woman soon. Germany is run by a woman so is the UK. Bangladesh may be weak but being run by a woman is not the reason for it.

They are doing better than Pakistan in many indicators whether we like to admit it or not. Our factories are shifting there because the nikami Pakistani government couldn't solve the energy crisis. Plus why should we be on bad terms with another country no matter what the past was?
Lol trump has already won, uk is run from leather arm chairs beside fire places occupied by montrously rich torah reading baldies, merkel is an exception, one hell of a rare woman she is, i like her, but bngla's pm???, now who's kidding...

So shut down the foreign office since in many cases their statements and interference doesn't change anything??

Condemning that hoax war tribunal is the right thing to do. Stop this self loathing please.

Sorry but China is way more prudent when it comes to real politik's of this world, Their ambitions does not involve the stick but the carrot, Thus they're one of the most powerful nations around

Indeed. It is telling how they have handled the Kashmir issue for example.....recognising both sides treat it as an internal issue.

Not after yesterday's debate he hasn't.

And that UK description Lol. UK has a PM with a strong democracy, they may have a powerful establishment too but the PM is also very powerful. Not to mention Nicola Sturgeon.

Bangladesh's PM might be many things but right now Pakistani factories are moving there, their textile imports are gaining ground over ours. They are getting our investments due to the energy crisis. What have Pakistan's PM or trade ministers done to combat that??

I hope people in Pakistan's diplomatic circle's aren't thinking like this because we gain nothing from damaging relations with another country.

Self loathing? Seriously?

This is diplomacy, trade and economy we're addressing here. Ego's and emotions don't belong here.

Condemning would have been okay but we did a lot more than that with Ch. Nisar's speeches and what not.

Well i think BD people should start singing "Bandy matarm" and take daily a dose of cow cola. Their PM might need 3 doses daily of cow cola.

Actually its more nuanced than that. @Arsalan can fill you in.

You should read this whole thread for example:

Grow up buddy , those talks of peace and friendship and respecting soviegrnity are for dim masses, every region needs an uncle sam, and pak and china are slowly adopting to that role
You need to grow up, my friend. You don't understand how international relations work.

Do you know the reasons for Bangladesh pulling out of SAARC summit? If not, than try to figure this out first.

What trade and diplomacy we were having with BD before those statements???

Kindly enlighten us all.

the fact is that BD was irrelevant for Pakistan always. If you think otherwise then do share the facts with us all.

Does India share a border or much trade with Afghanistan?

No.

But they have built good relations and economic ties with them meticulously. Similarly with Iran because it helps them choke Pakistan.

Any relationship needs to have a foundation. We could have had a similar role for Bangladesh and even if we don't have trade now, it could definitely be built up with Pakistan increasing cooperation and decreasing Indian hegemony. However we did the opposite and alienated the factions there which are sympathetic to us.

We can't have more anti-Pakistan countries in the region.

Thank you very much. I'll read this

You sound like nobody is coming to attend, Don't underestimate you foreign office.

How do you know it all?... well the boycott is only by India because Pakistan is hosting yet pressed others to do so then we have no worries even they come or not, its useless. That underestimate thing is to be conveyed to NaMO if you can and there will be results. Even then if they did not attend, at-least would be a cost saving thing for us. Let's wait for the November then.

India can have all the relation with anyone it wants to.

The fact is that BD is irrelevant for Pakistan. It always was. Afghanistan was always against Pakistan. It has the honor of opposing Pakistan's creation in the UN. Iran is a close ally of Pakistan and is involved in a lot of stuff with PAksitan.

India's hegemony inside BD is natural. Just look at the map of BD. You buy a map of India and you get map of BD free with it. This is the situation right now. No matter what Pakistan do, Pakistan can't decrease India hegemony in BD. It is a matter of surprise that BD didn't become another state of India just like Sikkim. Apparently that day isn't far away anyways.

Pakistan should accept the fact that for time being its relations with these 3 countries would always remain at back burner

1 India
2 BD
3 Afghanistan

Focus on improving relations with other countries other than these three instead of ranting how we should improve relations with an Indian colony.
